Hi authenticators. I was just kicked off eBay with the following pics. Can you clarify for me why this is a fake? I got from estate of deceased aunt and it looks like other Devon's I've seen

I don't see anything wrong with it.

What EXACTLY did the notice that you received from Ebay say? It would help if you could post a copy, the exact wording of the removal notice is important. The bag in your photos is a genuine Devon Bag made in 1992 or 1993. Could there have been some kind of technical violation, like a disclaimer of authenticity?.

Thank you so much! Will try to post the attachment here. I have been changing my mind a lot about whether I want to sell or keep the bag. So I pulled and relisted a few times. Perhaps one of their algorithms clocked that as fishy behavior? -maybe I will just sit on this for a month and make sure I really want to sell, then start a new listing. Do you think that could be it?

You CAN'T re-list it. Did you relist it again after you received the notice? That's absolutely forbidden under Ebay rules.

You can fight the removal but if you're thinking about keeping the bag, that is the easiest option. Any authorization to relist a removed item MUST come from an actual member of Ebay management, not just a Customer Service or phone rep, which is a mistake a lot of sellers make.

No, I had it up (and removed it) maybe 3x this past month. I had been trying to make up my mind about another bag purchase (that I would have needed this sale money for). I never received this message until this morning after I relisted it. This was the first time I got this message ever. Seems strange but I guess the universe is telling me that I would indeed regret selling it (which is exactly what I had been going back and forth about ☺️)

My advice would be to keep it and enjoy it as a memory of your Gran. It looks to be in excellent condition for a 30 year old handbag.

If you DO decide to fight the removal, not only is @BeenBurned a veteran of helping sellers get unfairly removed items reinstated but she and @whateve have also posted a lot of advice on the subject of problems with Ebay at our Ebay Question and Answer thread:

ETA- As for being pulled two ways about keeping or selling it, look at it this way - if you decide to keep it, you can always sell it at some future date. But if you sell it now and later wish you hadn't, it's probably gone for good.

Good afternoon Authenticators, will you please be so kind as to check out this bag I just purchased. My concern is the dowel and the lack of leather on it so I am assuming it's a replacement dowel but I'd like to get opinions please. I am aware of how beat up it is but I'm in need of a project.

Item: Logan
Seller AtticVintageNY

It looks good. Someone on the rehab thread replaced the leather ends on a dowel.
