I don't think it's a Laila, but I could be wrong. My records show it as a Kristin Woven Leather Round Sage Satchel, known here as a Mama Sage. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

It's genuine, but extreme care should be used when buying from that seller since she's listed numerous fakes and the "authentication service" she often says she uses is not qualified to authenticate Coach products.
Excellent info for a buyer, definitely appreciate, you were spot on with the weight advice also, I had seen a mod shot and HAD to have one however the size and weight are not for me with my arthritic neck, having to list both of them <sigh>

They're gorgeous bags - the Kristins are my favorite "recent" line - but usually the more hardware a bag has like extra chain links, turnlocks, etc., the heavier it usually is. I've donated several Kristins myself because they were just too heavy, so I can appreciate the disappointment. I had to switch to bags with long crossbody straps carried from my left shoulder about 15 years ago because of neck and shoulder problems on the right side from too-heavy purses.

If you have time before an auction ends, a search of the main Coach forum here using the bag's name and/or style number will often bring up posts that mention specific issues or problems that our posters might have had with the same styles. Keeping a list of the styles you like along with the kinds of comments posted here about those styles is a good idea and I do it myself for dozens of Kristin styles. It's helped me avoid making several other purchases that wouldn't have worked because of the bag's weight or other problems.

Hello I just joined and would like to know where I could look up a creed number. Item is on ebay-coach ashley black. item #381326427166. creed number F17447. I see no leather on this bag at all. It makes me nervous. thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by "looking up a creed number". Do you mean to try and see if it's genuine? Just because a bag has the "right" style number (the second half of the serial number) doesn't prove it's genuine. Probably close to half of the fakes asked about in this very long thread and its half-dozen archived predecessors had "correct" serial numbers. Why does everyone think that fakes makers can't copy a valid serial number?

Post number One in the thread explains what information we need to authenticate a Coach item, if that's what you're asking for.

I also don't understand why you think there's "no leather on this bag at all" . I'm seeing plenty of leather.

I bought this bag on ebay. The leather feels like vinyl. Inside the bag is a woven label "made in China". the creed number is E1271-F17447. ebay item 381326427166. I have never owned a bag with the woven label inside. I just did not feel comfortable about the bag. This is probably the only time I will be on this forum anyway. The bag was advertised as a ashley black jacquard spectator satchel. It just feels different. I know my rolex is real but this bag not so sure. I usually can spot a fake at the area flea markets but this one I bought online. I thought there was a site I could just plug in the creed numbers and be happy.

If you will refer to the first post of this thread, it will tell you the information we need. Counterfeiters can copy real numbers so even if it is a valid number, it doesn't prove it is authentic.

I believe this is the listing you bought: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Signa...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
