Could someone please authenticate this bag I received today. I thought it looked Ok but in person noticed there are 3D backings on the hardware and the grommets on the strap are nickel while the other hardware is brass. Just noticed the grommets were disclosed in the listing so I will ask the seller if the strap was replaced if the bag proves authentic. Hope it is 'cause it's a really cute bag. Thank you!

Remember this discussion about a fake flip flop fob that was getting bid up like crazy?
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-cl...ct-central-key-ring-clubhouse-765927-246.html (It starts at the top of page 246 of the fob clubhouse)
This one in the reference library looks similar: http://forum.purseblog.com/showpost.php?p=6352015&postcount=45

Can you tell if it and the breast cancer fob next to it are authentic? If they aren't, should they be in the reference library?
The flip flop is fake (as we already know) and the BCA fob is a fake copy of style 92030.

Compare to authentic:

I've also included a side by side comparison I did years ago.

Sorry, I think it's fake. The creed stamp has a problem and so does the serial number font, along with the silver grommets you mentioned. And I think there's another problem with the hardware too - can you take a close-up photo of the back of the turnlock plate, the side with the prongs that's on the back of the purse's flap? The hangtag is probably fake too but we usually don't use that to prove if something's real or not. There are other much more solid indicators with this particular bag.

Here's a creed and serial number that's only one month away from the date code in the Saddle Bag and that has the same plant code:

Here is the back, it's definitely 3D.

Here a listing for another one of these. Does it look authentic?

Even though there seem to be two different creed and serial number stampings for that plant and month, I believe they're both genuine.

This one looks ok.
Thank you Hyacinth!

I had begun to think there were no authentic Patricia's Legacy bags because it seems like every one I see here turns out to be a fake. I'm glad I was lucky with this one.

Thanks again.

The 3-D turnlock plate plus all the other problems really adds up to a 99.9 percent chance of being fake.

The M1D-9988 looks a lot better and the creed stamping is right.
