Thank you in advance!

1- genuine, but the strap has been completely butchered - did you look at the photos? It looks like almost a foot of it has literally been TORN off.

2- genuine

3- on any style as highly faked as the Willis there's no way I'm comfortable authenticating it without a much better creed photo

4- I'm not comfortable with that one and personally would not bid on it.

lol regarding #1, I'm still very new to vintage coach and am trying to find a bag with a very short shoulder strap for my very petite mom. I'm embarrassed to admit, I actually thought it was just another bag I was unfamiliar with. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. *closes ebay tab*

Most true vintage bags (20 years old or older) came with longer straps, because that was still the classic style 20-plus years ago. Coach sometimes made 2 different lengths available for some vintage styles, 36 or 40-44 inches, but you need to read the descriptions carefully to see what strap length the bag you're looking at actually has. Starting around 1990 Coach started making more bags available with shorter straps, but if you want what I call an "armpit bag" - I'm NOT a fan of that length! - and want it to be all original and vintage, you're going to have a hard time. You may have to buy a bag in an easy to match color like black and buy a short replacement strap from a seller like Silver-Coach at Ebay and Bonanza, or from Mautto on their website. A new replacement strap can run $20-$30 so factor that into your budget. And be sure to measure the width and pay attention to the fastening and hardware color - both of the sellers I mentioned will usually be able to tell you if the strap you're considering will fit the bag you're buying it for.

And when strap lengths got shorter, way too many Coach owners shortened their straps themselves, and, like whoever owned bag #1, made a really LOUSY job of it, although that's probably the WORST I've ever seen. It almost looks as if a dog or cat chewed right through it and the owner just left it like that except for a half-dozen stitches on the end. I can't stress too strongly how important it is to examine all listing photos very closely, preferably with a full-feature computer where you can enlarge and examine the photos. If one of the authenticators here notices a modified strap we'll mention it in our comments, but we can't catch them all.

I'm adding a close-up of the end of the strap of Bag #1 so you can see how important it is to look at the photos and description very carefully.

Thank you Hyacinth on the strap length info. I have noticed that too (on vintage) and wondered if it was just a factory difference. I too hate a "armpit" strap bag!

If a bag has a really wreaked strap, I always wonder of it was snatched away in a robbery. Of course, it would take dragging a human for those stout vintage straps with stout grommets to give way!

Genuine.

Enlarging the picture by mousing over it shows the missing thread and also that the remaining thread on the left side seems to be darker than the rest, so I'm wondering if the lower side of the pocket was already restitched once?

Unfortunately too many sellers figure that showing just a photo of a problem area without any explanation in the description absolves them from responsibilty if the buyer doesn't notice or understand the problem and isn't happy when they get the item.

Just another reason why everyone should use a full-feature full-size computer rather than a smartphone or tablet when buying online. Too many smaller electronic browsers simply don't show enough detail in the posted photos or don't allow them to be enlarged so the buyer can make solid buying decisions..
Thank you Hyacinth.. I don't have mobile devices so chalk it up to a few minutes left on an auction.& not enough time to find my glasses.. And I may be silly,or unrealistic but I want it ALL~PHOTOS AND DESCRIPTIONS!! List the FLAWS! Do your research & homework! Use a magnifying glass /lamp. Take the item outside in the light.Research the brand -era- history-use-designer-artist..Whatever you have to do to describe this thing you are selling...Don't tell me you"don't know anything about it" LEARN! READ ABOUT IT! Bring it to a place where they sell ___fill in the blank. Ask ebay community for help!! Not only is the research fun & enlightening..it makes you a more knowledgeable person PLUS a top seller...
OK ...I know waaaay more about vintage doll clothes than I care to know but..you get the point!!
Whew..
Just an update, on my flight bag w/ the falling-off patch pocket...I did write seller about the problem and sent pics of the pocket..there is NO way you can take photos of that area without the pocket falling forward, BUT I told seller I did not want to return it (she has a no return policy, but I know I can open a case with ebay if I needed to) I told her I loved the bag, but would await her reply and that some sort of partial refund would be acceptable, as it needs to go to a leather repair store. She immediately replied~ which surprised me~as her FB suggested otherwise,,,Another case where buyers leave neg FB without trying to work it out with seller??
Anyway seller apologized, said they didn't notice(impossible) BUT agreed to a $10 refund, would refund my PP immediately.. After 5 days I rechecked my ppal..and NO refund! So, I contacted seller..she did refund me,BUT did not refund my personal paypal which I used to make the purchase with..??? Refunded the ebay store. Anyway, all in all..I'm satisfied.
An observation about ebay...I always contact sellers first,if I have a prob. I've only had to open a case once, because a crazy person kept sending me longlong screaming emails - a seller that has been discussed & that is not recommended here...or anywhere!
There is no reason to open a case BEFORE contacting seller. I speak As both a seller & buyer! Also sellers usually reply immediately when I make purchases from the ebay store account ..having manymany years on ebay & nearly 9000 FBs Helps a lot BUT It is a different matter entirely when I buy items using my rarely used personal ebay account (with less than 50 stars)~Bad sellers or SNAD sellers are more likely to ignore or try to screw me if they think I'm a newbie..:nogood:
Thanks ALL! I Hope you are enjoying your summer..CHEERS! :sunshine: SheriDahlin

I didn't know that. I bought my first and second Coach leather bags from Coach and ended up tying the strap to sorta fit my 5' frame. Worst idea ever as it mangled the leather. Totally regret it. Thanks for the tip.

I'm curious as to how she knew your other account ID. Did you send her a question with that other ID that might have made her assume they were both your accounts?

Or are both your IDs linked to the same PP account? If so, it might be similar to what happened to me recently.

CORRECTION:
I recently had a return where the seller said he'd send the return shipping label to "the email address associated with the Paypal account from which the payment was made." I watched my email and nothing came after several days. (My paypal messages come to my "main" email address.)

So before contacting the seller, on a whim, I checked my email address associated with my buying ID account and the return shipping label was attached to an email there.

Looking for help in authenticating this Coach Bean Bag purse...or any suggestions. Thank you!

http://s725.photobucket.com/user/soc...wgmcx.jpg.html

I'm getting an error message for that link.

Your link doesn't work. Is there also a link to a listing as well as the photobucket link?

That bag is fake.

Again, is this bag being sold in a listing somewhere? It needs to be reported, thus the reason we require/request that info in post #1:
http://forum.purseblog.com/showpost.php?p=27792584&postcount=1

Coach doesn't misspell "natural" as "NATURA'" on its creeds! (That's not the only thing wrong with the bag!)

Thank you Hyacinth!

There are some vintage bags with shorter straps, mostly tote or shopper styles. I tend to prefer short straps too. In some cases, the long straps can be doubled.
