Apparently I had two Patricia's Legacy bags. One was deemed not authentic and I disposed of it. Can you tell me if my second one is authentic?

Sorry, this one is fake too. In 2002 the J plant code was used by ONLY a Chinese plant since at least some time in Spring 1999. Normally I'd ask to see a photo of the entire top length of the inside pocket but in this case it's not necessary.

It's a bit hard to read but here's a genuine D2J-prefix in a Mercer: Below that are 2 of the earliest Chinese J plant codes I can find, also in Mercers, which seems to be the predominant line made at that plant for the first few years it was open. The Chinese K plant was also producing mostly Mercer styles at about the same time.

Damn...I'm 0 for 2. I'll dispose of this one as well. Good thing they came from Goodwill/Salvation Army and I didn't pay much for them. I'm just trying to pare down what I have and just keep my favorites.

Hi all,

First time here... Basically just posting out of curiosity. I found this bag in a thrift store for $25; it's very well made, with straight stitching, heavy lining, imprinted hardware, and (what seems to be, at least) leather trim. It's a great bag for lugging around teaching materials, fake or not, but I would like to know... Somehow I get a super fake vibe off it, which is weird because it's well made.

Imprint # in mine is: M1261-F70828

IF you're the seller, it's against the site's rules to post links to your own listings. It's considered "advertising" and that's a serious violation here.

You can post photos without any selling links, or links to a photo storage site, but NOT your own active auction listings. Please read the Community Guidelines page and the site FAQs
http://forum.purseblog.com/announcement.php?a=8

If it's your listing, you say that you found it in a thrift store, but the description says "Purchased directly from authorized Coach Stores and carefully inspected". Which one is it? And if you bought it from a Coach store why would you need it authenticated?

Please clear up my confusion.

No, not the seller; I bought this exact same bag in a thrift store. I was too lazy to take pictures. :^)

Without seeing the pictures of your actual bag, we can't authenticate it. (Counterfeiter can and do put "correct" serial numbers on fakes.)

Please post a picture of the front of your bag and a clear picture of the full creed patch.

Look for help authenticating a swagger 37 bag listed on eBay. I don't see the style number of the 37 doesn't seem to match the inside tag so I am not sure if it is authentic or not. Here is the link:
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=161759121539&globalID=EBAY-US
Item number: 161759121539
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide:)
Because the swaggers are so well faked, I'd like to see clearer, closer and better lit pictures of the creed, the hangtags and the front of the bag. A better picture of the label from the pocket wouldn't hurt either. :smile1:

Although this doesn't prove that the bag in the listing is authentic (without better pics), the style number does match Coach's style number for 37:
