The 3-D turnlock plate plus all the other problems really adds up to a 99.9 percent chance of being fake.

The M1D-9988 looks a lot better and the creed stamping is right.

2) This bag makes me wonder since it looks like the one I posted earlier this week that had a butchered strap, but the strap looks shorter. I can't ask for an authentication since there is no picture of a creed and the seller did not respond to my request for pictures. I'd just like to know if coach ever made a bag that looks like this with this short-ish strap.

1, 3 and 4 are authentic. 3 is a compartment bag from around 1990. I can't tell how long the strap is on #2. It isn't super short. According to the listing, the bag was made in 2004. Coach may have been selling them with shorter straps at that time.

I'm curious as to how she knew your other account ID. Did you send her a question with that other ID that might have made her assume they were both your accounts?

Or are both your IDs linked to the same PP account? If so, it might be similar to what happened to me recently.

CORRECTION:
I recently had a return where the seller said he'd send the return shipping label to "the email address associated with the Paypal account from which the payment was made." I watched my email and nothing came after several days. (My paypal messages come to my "main" email address.)

So before contacting the seller, on a whim, I checked my email address associated with my buying ID account and the return shipping label was attached to an email there.

HI BB!! I was kind of surprised by that as well..If I was refunding a buyer, I would automatically go to the ebay/ paypal transaction & refund the paypal account associated with the original transaction. That is just common sense. Buyers use different ppal accounts when buying a gift or as an example, my mom might ask me to locate something for her,and I will purchase it from our store using with her ppal account. I have an ebay partner~all my purchases are paid for with my personal ppal account and all my sales go directly into my own ppal account, so..who knows why seller chose to refund a different account than the one used to make the purchase? I just got an email from my partner asking me "..is this YOUR refund?" Anyway, it all worked out..I will have to re-sew the pocket by hand..so that bag will sit in the pile with the rest of the bags I don't feel like dealing with right now!! My "hard work pile" is growing... It is just too HOT here in SwampLand !!Take Care!! Thanks for responding LATAH! S.

The strap on bag #2 not only looks short, but also looks like it has silver grommets while the seller describes the bag's hardware as "gold". No way would I bid on that one, especially since the seller won't post or send more photos. What are they trying to hide? They have FOUR photos showing exactly the same details! " cherishboutique " looks like a seller that should be avoided.

And AFAIK, Coach never made shorter straps available during that time period for any of the classic styles. Here's the Wayback Machine link for the August 5, 2004 page showing the #9950 Janice's Legacy under "classic Favorites" - the strap length is listed as 48 inches. The strap on the bag in the listing isn't even CLOSE to that length.
