Dear authenticators, could someone help me authenticate this bag? I haven’t bought it yet but I am considering it. The seller says it was Japan sourced. Thank you

Name: Ruby Crossbody

Tag says it was made in the Philippines and it has no serial number.

Complete FAKE.

Invalid and known ALWAYS FAKE "D2J-" serial number prefix when the creed says it was made in the US. The only handbags with a legitimate D2J- prefix would have been made ONLY in China.

Once you learn how to effectively use this forum's Search feature, finding problematic sellers and serial numbers especially serial prefixes is very effective. A Search for "Coach serial d2j" organized by most recent posts first brings up 2 pages of links to at least 30 posts mentioning that serial prefix could tell you why that number is a problem:

and here's the relevant paragraph from that post quoting my Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers List in the "ALWAYS FAKE" catagory. The Daria48 List is part of the "pinned" Salearea Guides thread, everyone here should read that entire thread:

"D2J- prefixes - ALL
serial number prefixes whenever they're part of a creed stamp that says the bag was made in the US. That code sequence was ONLY used for bags made in a Chinese plant, never an American one. And ALL serial prefixes with J as the third digit and a Made in the US code need to be carefully authenticated, since the "J" plant in the US originally made only clothing items."

Fake.

ETA: I recall seeing that bag on ebay last night by the same ebay seller:
www.ebay.com/sch/169291/i.html?_ssn=mytenpoint&store_name=mytenpoint&_oac=1&_dmd=1

It also looks crooked where the creed is. Thank you both for confirming.
This proves my point about Poshmark and way too many of the sellers there.

You had defended Poshmark and in this post, I explained my observations stating that many sellers go to Poshmark after their items were removed from ebay or from other sites that actually respond to reports.

In this case, after ebay's mytenpoint had the listing removed, it was listed by Poshmark's mytenpoint. Clearly she knows it's fake since it was removed from ebay. But does she care? Obviously not!

And she also has it listed on Mercari - Mytenpoint

Ebay: mytenpoint
Poshmark: mytenpoint
Mercari: Mytenpoint
