Just one MORE comment.

The bag is a genuine Coach but it's definitely NOT a "Bonnie Cashin" nor does it have anything to do with her, so technically it's actually "Not As Described". It's called a Chauncey Bag, style 9897 and was made in 1992 or 1993 which is almost 20 YEARS after Cashin stopped designing for Coach.

Thank you! ETA: I found what looks to be an identical one and seller says it's also from 1982 and style 7205. Made of "Water Buffalo Leather." Do you think so as far as water buffalo leather for mine? https://www.etsy.com/listing/114426...how_sold_out_detail=1&ref=nla_listing_details

Only the 1983 catalog says water buffalo leather. I'm not sure how you would know.

I don't know how familiar you are with my posts and opinions. I (generally) don't authenticate or recommend Poshmark because of their horrid history of dealing with dishonest sellers, lack of response to reports of fakes and fraud and sellers who know they can peddle fakes there and get away with it and their (Poshmark's) banning of members who call out fakes.

And that you're 2 for 2 on fakes confirms the risk and danger of doing business on Poshmark.

There are some really good sellers on PoshMark.

I agree that there are honest sellers and honest buyers on Poshmark. I also know that fakes are everywhere.

My complaints and issues against Poshmark vs. other sites that I consider safer is that Poshmark does little (if anything) in response to reports of fakes. And because many dishonest sellers are aware of PM's dreadful lack of response, after being kicked off and forbidden from selling on ebay go to Poshmark where they know they can get away with selling their trash.

There have also been many posts (on TPF) from and about buyers who have received fakes, filed disputes and were denied refunds on 100% fake items because Poshmark's "expert" authenticators deemed the bags as authentic.

And as a result, I don't promote, recommend or authenticate Poshmark listings. There are too many other sites that offer better protection and I prefer buyers go there. (And as an honest seller, I will not sell on Poshmark because I don't want to be associated with a site that has the history that Poshmark has.)

Please post (as a Reply to either your post here or mine) either the seller's original listing photo of the creed and serial number or if that's not available, your own READABLE photo of those details since my computer can't open Poshmark photos. Some genuine Reginas DID have an incorrect style number but we always need to see actual photos.

Also be advised that the metal chain strap is not the strap that Coach originally included with the bag.
