It looks good. I don't have this exact style in my files. It was probably called a girlie bag.
Good Morning! Would you check this bag again? I’ve been trying to find a Girlie Girly Coach & keep coming up with style # 8125 & they are in wool. #8117 comes up as Blakely Sunglasses. Then I found # 8316 with the same bag & that’s also a sunglass style. Serial#s are so confusing, just when i think i’ve figured them out one like this stumps me. Let me know how you figure this out…. driving me nuts. I can send you the links of those other ones I’ve found- just let me know. tysm for your time

It's authentic, made in either 1995 or 1996 (can't read it too well).

ETA: I sure wouldn't call that bag "MINT!" That listing is NAD (not as described) waiting to happen. This is from the description: "No odor or tear with normal signs of wear. Untouched, In it’s original state."

LOL!

Thank you again, @BeenBurned. While I love the distressed look, the extent of it is making me question myself. Thank you also for the reaction.

Although I don't want to be assumed to be supporting Poshmark with this post, I did a bit of digging and though didn't find the exact style (leather girlie), there were/are several others that are the same size/style but in different materials in the same style numbering range.

Based on the style names, I'm guessing the bag in question was "Girlie leather"

Those that don't have pictures or style numbers weren't accessible.

Wow! Coach sure doesn’t make it easy on you to authenticate. I’m so thankful you have those resources. How do I find those pages? The time the authenticators & yourself must have spent over the years learning Coach is mind blowing. ty again for looking into this & sharing.

I went to the Wayback machine. It takes time to learn to navigate that site and even then, the site doesn't show everything.

Hi Authenticators,
I'm at my local GW and found this bag and was hoping you can check it for me before I commit please? 10x10x2.5.
Thanks so much!

It's authentic, 1997.

That’s the correct number for that station bag.
It's not a station bag. It's a Willis.

But just because a number "matches" the bag it's on doesn't mean it's authentic. There are literally thousands of fake "Willis" bags with 9927 as the style number on the creed.

these are just 2 examples of FAKES with seemingly correct style numbers:

what do you look for on Willis that has 9927 to reveal it is fake? ik style #s are always dependable. Would you say they are high on the list to be forged? What have you found to be the top vintage bags that are forged?

It's authentic and was made in 2007.

What would the name of it be? Not sure whether to call it a satchel or messenger bag. I like it a LOT, its heavy leather. Does it have a name? Made in US or abroad. I’m wondering is it limited, as I can’t locate any photos or anything with serial number. Thanks so much.

There are just too many different indications of any fake, Willis or otherwise to list them. You have to realize that there were, and possibly still are, hundreds if counterfeit suppliers, small to large, in China and a dozen other countries around the globe, making Coach fakes and almost all of them make them differently AND MAKE DIFFERENT MISTAKES.

There are plenty of warning signs listed in the six Salearea Guides pinned to the top of this forum. They're complicated and can be confusing so read them often, that's one of the reasons I wrote them. There's a list of some of the most commonly-used fake serial numbers and prefixes immediately following the Salearea Guides called the Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers List - read it and refer to it before you ask here and always before you buy. That's why I wrote it.

The forums have a Search feature where you can research seller names as well as serial numbers and especially serial number prefixes. And anyone with any interest in buying or selling Coaches should make it a point to read THIS "Authenticate This Coach" forum thread every day if possible or at least every post on a regular basis if they REALLY want to learn about Coach fakes.

There's NO easy way to spot many of the fakes. Use the information provided here, read the Salearea Guides and the Daria48 Fake Numbers List and especially READ THIS FORUM THREAD. And learn how to effectively use the forum's Search feature to find posts about critical details. There aren't any shortcuts.
