Good Morning! Would you check this bag again? I’ve been trying to find a Girlie Girly Coach & keep coming up with style # 8125 & they are in wool. #8117 comes up as Blakely Sunglasses. Then I found # 8316 with the same bag & that’s also a sunglass style. Serial#s are so confusing, just when i think i’ve figured them out one like this stumps me. Let me know how you figure this out…. driving me nuts. I can send you the links of those other ones I’ve found- just let me know. tysm for your time

Coach has been known to reuse style numbers.

Also style names, although style numbers until recently have usually been limited to one specific style although there have been plenty of exceptions. Handbags and accessories like glasses, shoes, watches, etc could have the same numbers but the non-handbag accessories would often have a letter prefix to tell them apart, such as "w' for watches.l

Style names are sometimes used over and over for completely different lines, "Madison" being a good example, there must beat least 5 or 6 different "Madison" lines with no connection between them except the name

Although I don't want to be assumed to be supporting Poshmark with this post, I did a bit of digging and though didn't find the exact style (leather girlie), there were/are several others that are the same size/style but in different materials in the same style numbering range.

Based on the style names, I'm guessing the bag in question was "Girlie leather"

Those that don't have pictures or style numbers weren't accessible.

I don't have an exact name in my files either but since it's one of the early Girlies (see what I did there? ) it was probably just something like Girlie * Leather Hobo.

They were made at different factories, which could account for the differences. Even from the same factory there could be differences as they were handmade. There should always be some tapering on the top handle, which is true with both bags.

Did you get a price adjustment for the non-Coach strap?

She offered me a $25 refund. The strap was going to bother me so I bought the second, and I'll try to resell one of them without a strap or disclose the non-coach replacement strap. Thanks for asking!

Many older bags are missing their hangtags. If you're buying it to re-sell it should be disclosed in the listing.

Style 5131 is genuine. Technically it won't be considered "vintage" until it's at least 20 years old. It was made in 2004.

The Sonoma Pocket Zip 4924 is also genuine.
