Item: Black Vintage Coach Saddle Bag

Serial number: 055-6029 (Style 9851, I believe)

Where purchased or how obtained: Thrift store in Chicago

Comments: Hi. I'm new to the world of thrifting vintage Coach and have already figured out one of my finds is probably fake, one is real, and another was made to go straight to a factory store, but this saddle bag is really throwing me for a loop. It's either really old and rare-ish or super fake. Some elements seem really legit (TOWANNY USA PAT. 4021891 on male end of snap, zippers, pockets, overall quality) and others feel fake (defects in creed stamp, stitching around the buckle on the front flap, some not-perfect stitching elsewhere). I really love it and hope it's real, of course.

NOTE: If the color/texture seems off, that's because I have washed it and it's still drying (waiting for it to dry completely before conditioning). Also, it's clearly old and not in amazing condition.

Thank you!

This is an authentic bag made in 1996..

But it's always a good idea to have Goodwill listings verified because so many that come with COAs are actually fake bags!

You did fine. It's authentic.

Can someone please help me authenticate this bag. I smell the leather. It feels nice and thick. I have seen pictures of this bag in a pinterest catalog picture. I need help finding the name of the bag and determining its authenticity. The serial # is simply 250-2722 lts pretty faded again the leather is super thick. If it is real I'm thinking possibly the 70s

It's authentic. To ID bags with all numeric serial numbers, we need measurements. This is probably a camera bag #9760, most likely made in the 1980s.
