Dear Authenticators,

I have a “navy” Legacy Small Flap which I am very suspicious of and would like your opinion. I want to list it for sale but the more I look at it, the more doubtful I become. The color is not a really dark navy, some of the hardware looks a bit wrong - for example the Legacy buckles are stamped “solid brass” - and it feels wrong. The measurements are approximately 8” x 7” x 4”. I think the font of the serial number may also be suspect. Here are some photo - let me know if you need additional ones.

It's fake, sorry, the serial number font, indented turnlock, "solid brass" on the hardware, are ALL wrong.

Comments: Hello I'm new here. I've been eyeing this daisy purse for some time and couldn't find it on COACH web because it is sold out. And now someone on Shoppe sells it at a crazy price (around $65). Is it authentic? It looks shady tho'. Wish someone could help, thanks in advance.
The pictures in the listing aren't adequate for authentication but I'm not at all comfortable with that bag, that listing or that site.

The only sites I've found with the style are Asian sites known for selling fakes, among them, DH Gate's listing for the same style with the "Coach" logo photoshopped out of the pictures and the title listed as "Coech" as a way to stay under the radar.

Sorry I can't be more optimistic.

If your pictures are the bag you received, the bag is authentic.

I don't recommend going to or calling Coach stores to "authenticate." They aren't trained to authentic and in fact, are prohibited by company policy from authenticated. Too often, when they break company rules and do authenticate, they get it wrong. And phone authentications are even more useless. A serial number can't prove authenticity of an item.

Hi, thanks so much for this! Will take note of that too

I have another one here if anyone's willing to check this out. Sorry, couldn't send this one together with the past bag since I was waiting on this seller's clearer pic of the creed. Thank you so much!

Item: Coach leather two way bag

Comments: Mentioned that it's authentic and brought from the US though I don't know what's the model called (can someone help identify?). Also one thing to note is that seller claims there was a care card but unfortunately the bag was accidentally washed with it inside, which destroyed the care card

Stewardess Bag
Ebay, seller: Christsangel

The creed says it's a created material, not leather?? It looks like a stewardess bag, but this creed? Please and thank you for an opinion. I'm not purchasing this, but I really want to understand more about how to tell the fakes. Could it be a legitimate bag and they stamped the wrong bag's creed on there?

It's fine.

I have a number of various examples of legitimate mistakes (authentic items) from the US "X" plant.

In fact, here's another creed with the same mistake on the same style bag.
1999_X-plant-US-9525_Stewardess Bag.png

Here's another creed from a leather bag with the same "custom developed material" description. Notice this was also has a mistake in the month code with the "M" done with an upside-down "W."

And this picture shows 2 examples of 2000 US X-plant creeds with "e" missing from weather and one with a scrambled prefix.
