Apologies, I think my reply wasn't clear! CoachCounterfits on Facebook did not respond to my request to join. The Etsy seller did respond to me, saying they get everything authenticated (by CoachCounterfits). The seller's bags look good but since their information is wonky, I am going to put off purchasing from them for now. They seem like a nice vintage shop otherwise so I don't want to accidentally soil their reputation!

I am newish to vintage coach bags and trying to learn about styles, and this shop's listings have confused me a bit! Aside from the 90s City Bag they listed as 80s, they have a City Bag that is around 9 inches instead of the usual 11 inches, which I hadn't come across before. They also have a "city bag" that says 1970s, but I thought the style started in 1987.

As I mentioned before, CoachCounterfeits on Facebook doesn't allow members of ThePurseForum to join their Group or the other Groups that are under the same management. Apparently they don't like it when we expose questionable selling practices, misinformation, stalking, harassment, and the listing of counterfeit items by a few very high-ranking members.

If sellers on ANY site are claiming that CoachCounterfeits authenticated a listing but apparently couldn't even get the correct manufacturing date correct or supply the correct name, it's best to avoid those sellers. The Facebook Groups owner also has a for-pay authentication service which I don't recommend either (just my opinion, of course, and it's not one of the major authentication services) but I'm not going to mention the site name in public although any tPF member who has enough history here can use our Private Messaging link to PM me for details. Long-term members here are probably already familiar with the names, aliases and details.

There's no such thing as a City Bag that's only 9 inches long. As you already noted, The City Bag is about 11 inches wide and was introduced in 1987.

Thank you for this information!

It's authentic. It doesn't look green at all in the pictures. It might be darker than bottle green.

Both are fine.

ETA: Sorry. I hadn't refreshed the page and now I see that @whateve answered.

Hi all, is there any chance you can authenticate this for me? Thanks in advance!

Welcome.

We need to see more than just a creed picture in order to determine authenticity.

Please see the yellow highlighted post at the top of each page of the thread for the info and pictures we need. Thanks.
