  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Your 1st step w/Etsy will be to contact the customer (I know, again). If you haven't already, you might be able to get help by using the "help with order" section, selecting "An item is different from what I expected" (even though you haven't received it), then add as many details as space allows like -- before the bag was shipped you discovered that the bag shown did not belong to the seller because it belonged to someone else and you contacted the seller, seller would not (after xx days) provide photos of the actual bag, cancellation was requested but not provided, etc. For your protection and benefit, screenshot her main Etsy page to show that her policies do not mention that she doesn't take cancellations or issue refunds. Screenshot the message you do in the "help with order" section. She has 48 hours to respond, which she may or may not do. After that, you should be able to open a case with Etsy.

I have no experience regarding the funds and fraud report, but it would seem that the action of your bank is enough to prevent reissue of money to the seller/Etsy. It's possible she cannot actually cancel the sale now, because doing so means she has to refund your money....and she actually has no money to refund. But that's just my thought.

Edit: Did the notification saying the bag shipped actually have a tracking number?

I do remember that she did NOT have any refund policies on her page. And yes the item actually has a tracking number. However, I’ve locked my card and so once it reaches customs I know there will be an import fee that will not be able to be charged. And that will possibly prevent continuance of the item, therefore, the item will be shipped back to her. I hope.

When you file a c.c. dispute, your company puts the payment on hold and (if you read their message carefully, they tell you they) may reinstate the charge if circumstances require it.

So if you receive delivery, the charge may be reactivated but if you receive a box of rocks or some other item other than what you purchased, you document it and re-dispute it.

At this point, my advice would be to wait and see what happens. Obviously, she doesn't have the bag she listed so that isn't what you'll receive but there's a remote possibility that you might get another similar bag. Or the tracking may never show movement if she didn't ship anything after printing a label.

Keep records of all your messages, screenshots from the posts here proving that Fatima Anay Lerma Estrada aka ThingsAnay lied about her item, the pictures in the listing, where she is/was selling it, etc.

As the buyer, you do have protection and it's the same buyer protection you would have had if you hadn't been made aware that someone on TPF actually owns the exact bag that was shown in the pictures. The difference is that you caught the "not as described" issue before it was even sent and the seller wasn't honest enough to cancel before shipping (or claiming to have shipped).

Buyers, beware of Etsy seller Fatima Anay Lerma Estrada aka ThingsAnay .

Both look good.

I believe the brown one is style 5817 which I have as "Large Credit Clutch Wallet." I don't know whether that's Coach's official name.

I wasn't able to find a style number of the black one although when I sold the same style, I called it "Bifold leather wallet with coin pocket" from the mid-90s.

@Hyacinth might have further catalog info.

The black one is a Soft French Purse, style 5822 from the mid to later 1990s. I don't have any catalog page for it, just a few photos from an owner who still had the original box and tag. The copyright date on the booklet is 1995 but the snap tab looks more like a few styles from the 1997-98 catalogs. Click on the thumbnails to enlarge:

@BeenBurned is correct about the other one being called a Large Credit Card Wallet, from the same time period judging by the close style numbers. Style 5817 and since it was saved from the Wayback pages it's probably from around 1997-98:

Hi! Can this be authenticated please? It’s a newer style, not a vintage bag: Noa Pop Up Messenger.

Item: Authentic Coach Bag

Seller, site, link where listed: Facebook Marketplace; Elizabeth Boule Hinchliffe

Comments: The tag says the color is Wine. There is a turnlock, not snap, for the front pocket and the wallet pop up is curved top vs. flat. The strap dog clip release lever says “Coach New York” and the hang tag chain clasp, strap rings, and pop up zipper pull both say “Coach”. Creed is: H2192-C4816. Little snap on the inside to attach the end of the zipper. Strap is adjustable.

Apologies for the crappy creed photo; my phone only zooms in so far!

Genuine Legacy West Demi Flap from 2003. I can't help with the color.
