For sale by the artist in a FB group. I trust her but now I know how well counterfeiters make things!

The bag itself, without the artwork, was made in the early 1990s and appears to be a genuine Coach. Probably the only one who can authenticate the artwork would be Chelsea Champlain herself. I don't know if she supplies any kind of receipts or authenticity certificates for just the artwork. Her official collaborations with Coach seem to have all taken place in the last 5 or 6 years but I don't collect them and don't have any clue about her official history with the company. It just seems to be that a bag made in the early 1990s would have been decorated by her as a special after-sale project for the bag's owner with no direct tie-in to Coach. MORE INFORMATION AND OPINIONS ARE WELCOME.

Coach was not selling any of her pieces or involved in any collaboration with her in the early 1990s AFAIK, at least I've never seen any. I know some forum members have examples of her artwork on Coach bags but I'm not sure how we're supposed to be able to authenticate the artwork, if that's what we're being asked to do. I can't identify the actual style of the bag without measurements and a full set of photos showing the same details that we require for any authentification or identification of any vintage Coach bag.

I got this bag, along with one other for ten dollars a piece at the thrift store. I believe the one is real because I found the serial number and a bunch of pictures of it online from people reselling. The brown one is tripping me up though because it has the leather bag disclaimer from coach same as the other and a place for the serial number but no serial number stamped. The one most of the pictures are of is the one I am really unsure about.

Hi. Is this bag authentic?
Bag: Coach
Seller: resaledeals4u on ebay
Link

The seller's ID is actually RESALEDEALS4YOU

That's VERY important because - well, let's just say the seller has a history with tPF, me and other tPF members, as you would have found out if you had searched for the seller's name here on tPF.

Here are the links that best explain the problem:

I do not authenticate any items from that seller " RESALEDEALS4YOU " under any of the multiple IDs he uses, on Ebay, Poshmark, Mercari or any other selling site. The many reasons why can be found in those posts and others.
