@whateve is probably the best person to answer your questions, I don't have any real experience with pre-creed bags OR with any Rehab questions, especially about colors. She has the most experience in those areas..

Thanks! I think that it is probably genuine but I only have experience with one pre-creed bag, and it was very different and it had the striped lining so I would like an expert's opinion. I will wait to hear from @whateve.

I almost fainted when I saw it at the Goodwill for $20; it's missing the hangtag and it has some condition issues, but I was still blown away! Can you help me figure out which size Courier this is? It's my first experience with a Courier, thanks!
I only have two large Couriers and not had the luck to get a small yet. But I always thought that the small had rounded corners and the large courier was flatter based.
maybe someone has done a comparison of the two sizes...you could ask in the comparison thread

Hello authenticators, could you take a look at this vintage Coach I found at my local goodwill. Coach 9051
9 inch length
6 inch height
3 inch drop

This wonderful Patricia's Legacy came today. Going to rehab into a really nice condition, I think. I'm attaching more photos because the original listing only had 3, and no creed photo. Thank you for taking a peek and letting me know if it's authentic. Measures 11 inches across by 9 inches tall and 4 inches across the bottom.

Hi, authenticators,
I would appreciate help in both authenticating this small bag and knowing its name. I bought it from Goodwill a couple of weeks ago on impulse without checking first here and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it’s authentic.
Style number: D1K-8319 (China, 2001)
I have seen the name listed as “Legacy Demi Hobo Shoulder Bag,” but also saw a couple of other names.
The Goodwill listing is still available: https://shopgoodwill.com/item/143097876

It measures 10” at the widest X 6.5” long X 1.5” thick/deep.

It’s a real honey of a bag in pretty good condition and I just cleaned it up so it really shines.

Thank you,
Lucy

It's genuine, probably made for the Factory Outlets since all the ones we've seen have an outlet stamp, and all have the same misspelling "COMPIFTFIY" in the creed. We've never found the official name for it but outlet styles back then (it was made in 2001) were not in Coach's catalogs or main computer records. And contrary to what many "authenticity guides" claim, a misspelling does NOT prove that a "Coach" is fake.

Item: Sonoma Small Flap Natural Grain 4929 (Italy 1997, Tomato)
Where purchased: Salvation Army $17
Comments: Please share your opinion on authenticity. There is a "FS" stamp on the creed patch that makes it difficult to read, I have dusted it with eyeshadow to enhance the printing; the serial number is D7E-4929. Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise!

Genuine, it was probably called a Sonoma Small Full Flap

I don't know what they mean about rubbing off the caviar leather during rehabbing and I've restored a several vintage italian Coach Madison bags including a Copley. It is possible to rub off the brushed pattern on the hardware by over-polishing, maybe that's what the seller means? I'd ask for more information.

Here is a picture of the Madison colors offered for the 1995 Holiday season, they made other colors also - including a light yellow called "Butter.". There is a Granite color that is difficult to photograph, sometimes it looks gray and sometimes it looks light brown. That copley bag might be granite and that would be very rare.

I'm also wondering if the bag you listed could be the "Mandarin"? I've never seen any of the mandarin bags, wow!

Wow, thank you so much for the help! I was looking around purse forum and I have to say, your restoration of a Coppey looked legendary haha.

Yeah, I can't really match it to any colour with confidence. I will ask the seller for more information, thank you!

FYI. the link below has pictures of Granite Madison Wallet and a Beechnut Madison Bag:
