Hi everyone! I have a few recent thrift purchases for authentication. TIA!

Coach Madison Sabrina Ashley Leather Bag 12949
16" x 10" x 6"

I found all these different names associated with this bag in various listings online-- can someone please tell me the real name? Also is this considered "whiskey" color or something else?
You done good! All look fine.

For this one, the bag is a Sabrina which was made for the boutiques. Ashley is a similar MFF style but the details are simpler. Ashley doesn't have the detailing of the HAC plaque but instead has a simple script "Coach" marking.

In this case, the seller is either KWS or she doesn't know which style it is.
Next is a Coach Legacy Small Flap 9965 made in Costa Rica,
8" x 7.5" x 4"

This is (hopefully) an authentic Classic Legacy Zip. I've been burned by this style before so hoping this one checks out ok.

Coach Classic Legacy Zip 9966
11" long x 9" tall x 4.5" deep with 42" strap.

And the last one for today;

Coach Legacy West Lg Backpack 9827
10.5" long x 12" tall x 5" deep
All look fine. You done good!

Your pictures are too small. Please post larger pictures and include pictures of the writing on the insides of both arms.

FYI, Luxotica does make Coach's (and just about every other designer's) eyeglasses, both OTC and Rx-ready.
I did not realize my pictures shrank while posting. Here are a few more, I hope these are large enough.

I had a few pairs of Coach sunglasses and all of the came with original Coach cases and dust cloths. As soon as I opened the package with these glasses and saw this weird black case and black cloth I suspected a counterfeit. The cloth is not even soft; very unpleasant polyester-y fabric. I had these exact glasses but lost them soon after purchasing. I didn't own them long enough to compare and say for sure if these glasses feel the same as the other pair that was authentic for sure.

PS English is my second language, I apologize for my grammar.

PLEASE don't contact Amazon unless and until the glasses are deemed as fake. (Although the pictures are way too small to see much, I will say that I don't see any red flags.)

Until more pictures are posted and the sunnies (and accessories) are authenticated, neither the seller nor Amazon should be contacted.

There was just a discussion on this subject a few days ago. Although the buyer edited her posts, before editing her posts and before authenticating, she accused the seller of selling fakes and contacted amazon.
The discussion starts here:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-889527-463.html#post28696681

To be honest, I don't even know how to authenticate them to be 100% sure they are real or not. I used ebay guide (http://www.ebay.com/gds/How-to-Spot-Fake-Coach-Sunglasses-/10000000178120564/g.html): the case, the cloth, and the info booklet all look non-authentic. Still unsure about sunglasses. But why would you send non-authentic accessories with authentic sunglasses? Just don't get it.... which is why I suspect the glasses been fake as well.

Thank you for sharing the discussion on Coach purse, very interesting.

One more question. Here: http://www.coach.com/counterfeit-education.html , Coach states that:

Coach does not offer its products for sale through individuals, street vendors, internet auctions, independent boutiques, flea markets, or house parties.
The ONLY authorized store that Coach offers its merchandise for sale are:
Coach Stores
Coach Outlet Stores
Authorized Department Stores (see store locator of Coach.com)
Remember: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I wish I read this information before buying sunglasses online. I'm not enjoying feeling all suspicious and 'possibly' taken advantage of.... :nogood:

Coach may not sell directly to those places, but they certainly sell to people who do. :smile1:
I think all they mean is they don't have online stores on eBay, Amazon, etc, unlike companies like Dooney & Bourke.

Hi,

Will someone please authenticate?

I found this purse in a consignment store.

Item name: Small Legacy, Hobo Legacy?

I don't know if it's "vintage" or recent. Any ideas? The "handcrafted in Mexico" makes me scratch my head...

Thank you Hyacinth, or shall I call you Mrs. "Bouquet", for your quick response! I enjoyed "Keeping up appearances"...

Any idea what year it was made in?

I have no idea what constitutes a vintage purse. The salesperson told me it was "vintage".

There's a set of six Coach guides posted at Ebay by seller "Salearea" that has several guides on how to interpret Coach serial numbers and production codes.
http://search.reviews.ebay.com/members/salearea_W0QQcpnameZmembersQQprZsaleareaQQuqtZg

This one was made in 1997, purses are considerd "vintage" once they're 20 years old. Too many people don't understand how the category is defined.

Okay, your pictures are still too small to see much detail but I think I'm able to see enough to say that the glasses look fine.

This post doesn't show the case, lens cloth or the paperwork, all of which you also questioned as not being authentic.

This is the link to the "authenticity guide" you posted as validation that your glasses are fake:
http://www.ebay.com/gds/How-to-Spot-Fake-Coach-Sunglasses-/10000000178120564/g.html
With regard to that guide, as with just about every other guide on the internet, take it with a grain of salt. 99% of the guides on the internet are either outdated, incomplete, just plain full of misinformation or copy-and-pastes of other guides found online. This one is no different.

In that guide, the images posted and the information given is accurate for those items, but over the years, Coach changes various details and genuine items don't always follow what's stated in that guide.

There have been many different Coach cases, among them the signature clamshell case shown in that guide, but there are others. The following picture shows several different styles of cases, ALL of which are authentic. Also shown are 2 different but authentic lens cloths. There are others too but I didn't take the time to find examples.

There are fake Coach sunnies AND fake cases, but it doesn't appear those were what you got.

I bought these sunglasses on Amazon to replace exact same Jasmine glasses I recently lost. They arrived with what appears to be fake case, cloth, and info booklet. Which makes me believe that the glasses themselves are fake as well.
I contacted the seller but received a bs reply. They're saying that glasses are bought directly from Luxottica, the glasses manufacturer in US. I read on Coach website that Coach doesn't deal with small retails. The seller agreed to accept return but wants me to pay for shipping. Well..... I don't mind paying for return IF, for example, I want to return shoes that are too small. BUT! I didn't expect to buy and then having to return counterfeit glasses from an Amazon seller! This is frustrating.....
Anyways.... Can anyone confirm if these sunglasses fake? Thank you!

I just wanted to share a couple of pictures from some sunnies I recently ordered directly from the Coach website. From what I see in your pictures, the case and cloth look very much like what I have, which are definitely authentic. Just fyi.

Thank you for posting your pictures. They show yet another style of authentic case and lens cloth.
