This has been on Poshmark, I'm not sure of the style name

Sorry, it's fake. The serial number is totally wrong for the style and type of leather, in fact the entire number is invalid.

The seller is also making what I believe are bogus claims that "this bag goes back to 87 it has been check out by coach." Bad enough to be selling a fake even after being warned more than once that it was a fake, but claiming that anyone at Coach "checked it out" REALLY gets on me wick.

Seller " loisa60 " also sold this fake:

ETA - AND this fake wristlet:

AND a fabric "Hamptons Patchwork Pouch" supposedly from 2004 with a "U" plant code that claims to have been made in the USA out of "completely natural glove-tanned cowhide". "U" has never been a US plant code either.

I think I've seen enough.
And yet another fake sold by loisa60 on poshmark:

I hope you're not the buyer, it's fake.

A forum search of the seller "mariepose" who is the person THIS seller "re-poshed" it from, see the photos, has had a number of listings in the past for fake Coaches.

I don't know if this particular bag has been mentioned before, but there's definitely a problem with the serial number. The parallel "stretch marks" at the top of the flap are another red flag and probably caused by overstretching the leather during processing to soften it. Any "Coach" with stretch marks where the leather shouldn't have been stressed should be authenticated here BEFORE buying. I believe I've mentioned that in the Salearea Coach Guides.
happy ending. Poshmark is giving me a full refund, and told me to toss the bag. https://poshmark.com/listing/Vintag...own-Leather-Flap-Bag-6207e8d143895fa9dc270cb7

Hello - new here, hoping I could get someone to authenticate this for me.
Item: Coach swagger ?
Listing number: 255330360090
Seller and site where listed: plus-haven-by-krys on ebay
Link: listing
Comments: It seems priced too low, though does note a missing turn lock.

I'm not comfortable with that bag.

ALthough I can't say that it's fake, there are enough things that bother me that I definitely wouldn't recommend buying it.

On Poshmark it's VERY common because Posh doesn't CARE about US laws even though they're based in the US. Sellers of fakes are a large part of their seller base because they KNOW they can get away with selling fakes on Posh because Posh doesn't CARE. Sellers who have had fakes removed or can't be bothered to authenticate their items or even been suspended or banned from other selling sites know that Poshmark is a safe haven for them and they are a strong source of income for Posh. See post 72139.
Hyacinth, what’s your opinion on Goodwill online auctions? I always thought they had to do their part to verify a purse was authentic when putting it up for auction on their online site. I see some have papers saying the purse is authentic and then some don’t. Seems like Goodwill makes a lot of money on donated items, they should be responsible for what they put up for auction, well in my mind they should.
