Comments: Good evening Authenticators, could you please authenticate this cute Prairie bag when you are able? Taking a leap of faith on a PayPal FB purchase from one of the Vintage Coach sites. I thought it looked authentic but wanted expert eyes before I sent the funds. Thank you for your time!

While the bag may (or may not) be authentic, I don't recommend buying anything from PRIVATE Facebook sites or groups. Not only is there no way for us to see what kind of seller you're dealing with or what their history is, but there's NO purchase protection of any kind from the site if the seller pulls a switch or the item turns out to have some kind of problem.

Any scammer or idiot can set up a Private Facebook page, and many of them do. And frankly, the word "cult" in the FB page title doesn't exactly inspire me with confidence. Just the opposite, in fact.

Coach bag from 1970s? See pics inserted below.
I'm helping an older friend potentially sell this online and would love some experts to help me identify it! I'm pretty sure it's authentic. Owner says that it was her mother's symphony bag - she only ever used it when she went to see the symphony play. So sweet!
Owner thinks mother got it from 1970-75 and purchased for around $60 during that time!
Creed No 031-5809
Made in USA
Bag is approximately 10 inches wide, 9 inches tall
No closures except for the belt parts on the strap
No tags, but a very old Nordstrom pocket mirror was found funnily enough.
I've been trying to research, but haven't found any Coach bags similar to this online. If anyone can tell me where I can figure out pricing, that would be appreciated, too. Thank you in advance!PXL_20220308_225729320.jpgPXL_20220308_225313724.jpgPXL_20220308_225635884.jpgPXL_20220308_225512321.jpgPXL_20220308_225602293.jpgPXL_20220308_230641404.jpg

Dear Authenticators, I would like your help in authenticating these 2 court bags.
Item: Red and Black Court Bag
Where purchased or how obtained : Local thrift store
Comments: I bought the red one last month and the black one today. I just realised that the pipings of both bags were sewn differently (Picture 2,3,8 and 9) I have never own a court bag before and was so ecstatic finding these two.
The creed for the red reads B1P 9870 made in Costa Rica.
The creed for the black reads B0N 9870. The text is not so clear but I can read faintly Mexico with a torchlight.
Btw, the black court comes with no strap.
Thank you in advance.

Both are genuine, the red one was made in 2001 and the black one in early 1990.

Coach DID change the design of the Court Bags front pocket panel some time in 1999 probably extending into 1990 especially for the plants outside the US. We just talked about that here 2 weeks ago and posted a link to comparison photos. Sharp of you to spot the difference:

The Costa Rica plant made some of our favorite bags but always ended up at the bottom of Coach's list when the time came to make changes or get the latest design in creed or serial number stamps. It doesn't seem fair somehow.

Thank you so much Hyacinth ) You made my day! I'll make a search in future before posting for better understanding. Will go back 2 weeks to read the post. ( Just read: I'm learning new info about coach's design change. Interesting!)

Hello, all. I'd be grateful for your input on a few bags from a mixed lot I bought from a Goodwill auction recently. I bought the lot for the vintage all-leather bags in it, one of which I knew was a fake the moment I had my hands on it. (The other, my main motivation for buying the lot, is good—hooray!) Before I try to clean up and list somewhere or even give away one of these three newer bags, I'd need to feel good about their authenticity and be able to identify them properly. Beyond a basic checking of serial numbers, I wouldn't know where to begin. Thanks in advance for your help. :)
