I am new and cannot figure out how to post information regarding a handbag needing authentication. Am I not allowed to post because I am new? Do I reply to someone else's and hope someone sees it? Help.

Just start writing your post at the open box under the last post , I believe it says "write your reply" or something like that. Please DON'T "reply" to anyone else's post unless you're actually replying to that person, it just confuses everything, and the person you Reply to will get "tagged" telling them someone's replied to their post.

The most important thing is that you carefully read the instructions and rules in the IMPORTANT - READ ME POST AT THE TOP OF EVERY PAGE and follow the instructions. There's additional information in Post number One of this forum and every other brand's forum on this site. In this Coach forum Post # 1 is actually right below the IMPORTANT - READ ME post at the top of that page. ALWAYS the rules, and any post that says READ ME.

They all have different rules so always read the first post in any thread you want to post in to see if that thread has any special rules or instructions. We require that an authentication request for any Coach item that is currently or was recently listed for sale on any internet buying or selling site include the URL link to that listing page, if it's still available. If you already have the item in your possession and have had it for long enough that the original listing page isn''t available, please say so in your request. If you bought it at a brick-and-mortar store like a local thrift or resale shop, discount store, garage or estate sale or private party, please say so in your request.

Genuine. And it may be a bit unusual in that it was made in the early 1990s. It may be a Retro Slim Satchel Compact, style 9425 and made in 1991 as part of Coach's 50th Anniversary Retro Collection. There were no special creeds or style numbers for items in that collection so that's just an educated guess. There was also a 1993 re-re-release, so it could be either one since both used the same style number as the original version. I'm going to err on the side of caution and say that it's probably the 1993 version.

Here's the 1993 catalog page, click on the thumbnail to enlarge:

Good evening. I am requesting a authentication. I purchased this bag from a neighbor today. She told me she bought it from the Coach store in the Hamptons when she was 15 or 16 with her own money. She is now 64, so she said sometime mid 70's.
item: Vintage Coach bag, Courier Pouch?
the serial number did not photograph well, it is No. 450-5446 I had laid the bag out on the counter before dunking. Sorry about the photo quality. Thanks for your assistance.
