Good Morning awesome authenticators, I am looking for a Bleeker 9309 or 9310 and came across this one on Ebay. I was hoping for not only an authentication, but guidance on what to do, if anything, about intentional false advertising? The tag shown and described as having come from this Bleeker clearly did not, and is misleading to any inexperienced buyer who might think this bag originally sold for $398.00. :annoyed:

I would also really appreciate any information on the differences between the Bleeker 9309 and 9310 if you have time.

Thank you always for your integrity, valuable time and extraordinary knowledge! :flowers:

It's authentic. If you buy the bag, I don't think you need to say anything about the tag. Otherwise, you could send the seller a friendly note telling her that the price tag is for a different bag. You can explain how the description on the tag doesn't match the bag and the style number doesn't either. The Bleecker sold for $258 in 2000.

9309 is a smaller bag and doesn't have the outside pocket.

Genuine. Style 9309 Bleecker Zip measures 11x7, the 9310 Bleecker Pocket Zip has the outside pocket and measures 13x9 according to my files.

There's nothing you can do about the tag. You can't prove that it's intentional false advertising, maybe she just made a mistake. And there's nothing in Ebay rules about using the wrong photo. If you feel she's trying to lie, then don't buy the bag. Simple. You could point out the mistake to her but then she might block you.

Genuine. Coach made this style for many years so there's no way to date it accurately, but the seller said it was bought in the late 1980s so that would make it a style 7155 Change Purse.

ETA - I'm going to add one more thing, and I'll add it in PURPLE so you don't miss it.

I've made my opinions about your "other" authenticator clear many many times, so I won't bore everyone else by going over them again, everyone here knows knows how to find my posts. I don't "back up" HIS authentications and I don't appreciate him backing up mine. The other authenticators here are free to hold their own opinions and do as they choose. But seeing things like "I was just informed by my authenticator that this bag is not legit Coach bag. So sorry. Can you please cancel the sale so we won't have to go through a return? " and " It's such a beautiful bag and I usually have him review before I purchase when he's available. I literally just got the message from him" among other posts here and on other sites, I'm stepping back from authenticating your purchases to let Dale Barnes-Dave Barnes-Dave Edwards take care of his own customers, fans and site members exclusively.

Further information can be found by searching here at the tPF forums for:
vintagecoach4less
vtgcoach4less
dale barnes
dave barnes
dave edwards
resaledeals4you
VintageStuff

There are others including links to his daughter's accounts that he's using now but they all lead in the same direction. So I've decided to let Dale-Dave take care of his customers without any "backup" from me, and I certainly don't need OR want any backup from him. If he needs a second opinion about any items he can always ask one or both of his other selves for their opinions which, not surprisingly, will be the same as his own. So that should make all three of him very happy.

Thank you.

I think I still need to clear it up although I already replied to Beenburned yesterday. I should not be treated like a enemy here as I am always friendly and follow the rules.

Your assumption that I am a group member of that male authenticator and my Poshmark account is that Purplecocoon is invalid.

Your conclusion is based on the fact that I posted the same bag here for authenticity and two days later Purplecocoon replied on Poshmark that she asked her male authenticator and requested a cancellation to the Poshmark buyer, so that purplecocoon on Poshmark must be me, and that male authenticator must be your Enemy whoever is called Dave.

But this inference can be wrong in many situations.

First, many buyer will be interested to the exact same bag at the same time, it is quite common that Somebody posts a bag here but finally do not buy it. I did asked for that green small bag here several months ago but I didn’t buy it cause I was told it was fake here! So the comment on the poshmark post that she need to cancel is not made by me!

Secondly, As a buyer, We normally won’t ask for double check if the first authenticator think the bag is fake. Why am I making more effort to ask for another person for authentication if I am suspicious with the bag? I don’t need to do that, I just end up not considering that bag.

Thirdly that purplecocoon said she asked for a male authenticator, but who is that male? We don’t know.

Lastly, I am not quite active here. Before your post, I don’t know any of your contradictions and history with that Dave. So without any explanation, your blame on me makes me feel so upset and confused!

Again, as I mentioned before, I am just a fan of vintage coach and I am not a reseller, I am not involved in any authenticity service or group.

Things need to be clarified. That’s it.

It's a genuine Willis made in 1994, but the Mercari link isn't working for me. I think this is the correct link:

Hello! Could you please take a look at this bag? Thank you!

Ebay
Seller: mej1125

Genuine Crescent Bag style 9235 probably from the late 1980s or around 1992. The 1970-1979 date in the seller's listing is too early.
