Thank you and be safe!

I foolishly accepted the purse! I have opened a case. I fear that I didn’t follow Mercari guidelines for reporting or rejecting the item.
You didn't know!

If they deny the dispute, you can file a dispute with your credit card company or with Paypal if you used PP. (Even if you used a c.c. on PP, file the dispute through PP first, then if you lose that one, you have the c.c. as a last resort.)

Thank you for this info. I’m very surprised it isn’t authentic. What construction details aren’t right?

That padded area in the leather tab above the turnlock isn't the correct shape and is not padded well, and it looks like the creed stamp on the inside pocket is seriously off-center. The center seam on the bottom panel, as long as the seam itself is centered correctly, should line up with the center of the creed stamp, but in this one it doesn't. The creed should be in the top center of the pocket. But the incorrect serial font is the smoking gun.

To back up what we keep saying - have Coach items authenticated BEFORE you buy. If you had done that, we would have spotted that fake serial number font immediately and told you it was fake. It's much easier authenticating something before you buy than it is trying to get your money back once it's paid for and delivered.

I wanted to check to see if this purse was authentic.

Thank you and Merry Christmas

Hi Authenticators!
May I ask to please check these two that I purchased at the thrift store?

1.
Item: doctors bag
Where purchased or how obtained: thrift store
Comments: what is the style name of this bag?

2.
Item: Duffle sac from Hungary
Where: from thrift store
Comments: this is the only Hungary made sac and the leather feels a lot thicker than my other duffle sac. While the thickness of leather is gorgeous, it makes this bag more stiff (opposed to duffle sac being more saggy with less stuff inside usually).

The first bag is a Hudson Bag, style 4081 from the Lightweight Collection and made around 1991- 1992.

Hello kind Authenticators!

Could you please check this bag that I purchased about a year or so ago on Poshmark? After looking through this thread I wonder now if it is authentic.

Item: Coach Willis
Where purchased: Poshmark
Comments: It does not have the typical serial number for a Willis (also has a slash under the o in No. rather than a dot), and it says it was made in Italy, which I understand might be fine. It was the combination of Italian-made and the unusual serial number that made me question it. I will just wear the bag since it's useful, but I should know so I don't resell it if not genuine.

Thank you very much, you provide an invaluable service! L

It's fine. The serial number font and other stamp details are identical to other genuine bags made in the Italy plant in 1992-93. Since the Willis was introduced in 1993, we can narrow it down exactly to that year.
