The serial number does NOT date back to the 60's. Coaches didn't even have serial numbers until sometime around 1980. The format of the creed and of the serial number indicate that the bag was made between 1988 and 1992 or possibly early 1993. It really would help if we had measurements. Wherever you're getting your information about serial number dates is very inaccurate.

It's not a Retro Cashin Carry bag, at least not by name. It's a Retro Dinky Shopping Bag and measures about 8x8x5 inches and was made for Coach's 50th Anniversary in 1991. The style number was 9001, the color was called Coral Pink, and it's genuine.

It might have a white tag with serial number sewn in the seam of the inside zippered pocket lining. See if the seller can find it and post a pic.

Exactly what I told her, she didn’t find anything. I told her to dig deep in the seams too lol.

I’m also questioning the dimensions. Doesn’t sound right to me

Hi I just bought a Coach Scooter bag on eBay and after reviewing it, it looks/feels fake. Can you please help me identify if this bag is a fake? I have only bought two black vintage Coach bags so far, but is it normal to have inside white edges of leather on colored bags? Is that a tell for a fake bag? Another the turn lock is a dull color and feels weird. I’m comparing the turn lock to my rambler.

Just to ease your mind a bit, the white edges along seams were common in vintage leather bags. Leather was often shaved down in those areas to make it a bit thinner and easier to stitch.
