Hi Authenticators, I’m new to Coach and would like to get an authentication on this bag? It looks like a Willis. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/133940476095
Already purchased, this poor thing to practice some rehab on.
Thanks

I’m not an Authenticator but I am a serious Willis collector. This is not authentic. The Authenticators can go into all the detail as there are several obvious signs. One of them (and there are many!) is the top handle. the leather should be tapered on the ends. There’s a small part of the inside zipper pull too that show it’s fake. The Authenticators can provide the details. At least, you didn’t pay much.

The bag is fake with a known invalid serial number.

ETA: If you're the buyer, let rosecitygoods know you don't want the fake bag.

Thanks Paris Girl - lesson learned, I should ask here first before clicking the buy button.

Dear authenticators

I have this bag from a friend looking to sell. Could you advise what this bag is? I was told to be a 1991 retro cashin carry bag but the creed number dates back to the 60s. Is there a name or a style number for this one?

The serial number does NOT date back to the 60's. Coaches didn't even have serial numbers until sometime around 1980. The format of the creed and of the serial number indicate that the bag was made between 1988 and 1992 or possibly early 1993. It really would help if we had measurements. Wherever you're getting your information about serial number dates is very inaccurate.

It's not a Retro Cashin Carry bag, at least not by name. It's a Retro Dinky Shopping Bag and measures about 8x8x5 inches and was made for Coach's 50th Anniversary in 1991. The style number was 9001, the color was called Coral Pink, and it's genuine.

Accurate information about creeds, serial numbers, and other important details can be found in the six Salearea Guides posted here:
