Dear authenticators,
Please take a look. I was thrilled to find one of my unicorn bags- then I noticed the handle rings seem like they were just brass plated? Which made me a little nervous...I've seen that on inside zippers but not on outer visible parts. I've added a couple more photos.

Coach was already phasing out solid brass hardware and replacing it with brass-plated in the 1980s. The myth that Coach always used solid brass is exactly that, a myth. Be careful of believing any "rules" about Coach that you find on the internet, most of them are just plain wrong.

It's a genuine Station Bag 5130 made in the mid-1980s.

Had been eyeing the heritage crossbody on the outlet website but the selected color and descriptions don't match so I gave up. Then I ran into this on ebay and made an offer. It looks good to me. Wdyt?

It's a genuine Stewardess bag, style 9525 and made in the early or middle 1980s. Here's a description from the Summer 1986 catalog:

Thank you so much for your fast reply - that's so appreciated :)

Just out of curiosity... why does the creed say 8422, when its a 9525 model. That threw me off a bit when I received it, because I also had bought it thinking it was the 9525.

Comments: Any assistance or information about the style / line, if authentic, also would be greatly appreciated! I think I found a post here for another poster's project -- a Monterey Zip Top Grain bag. Thank you so much for the expertise!

Genuine, and you have the correct name.It was made in 2000.

Coach's many changes in format for serial numbers and creeds are all explained in the six Salearea Guides posted in the index pinned to the top of every Coach Shopping forum page, I recommend reading them at least once, especially the ones on those subjects.

Coach only began using actual style numbers as part of the serial number in 1994. Start here:
