Had been eyeing the heritage crossbody on the outlet website but the selected color and descriptions don't match so I gave up. Then I ran into this on ebay and made an offer. It looks good to me. Wdyt?

It's sold, but if you click "see original listing," you can view it.
Comments: the pictures they took of the serial number are very blurry, but it looks like it’s 7 digits with a dash after the third digit: xxx-xxxx. The seller's approximate measurements are: "13" x 9 " x 3 with approximately 46" adjustable strap"
What an intriguing style! I don't have it in my files. The creed picture is super fuzzy. I'd like a clearer one of the wording. I can make out the numbers.

There's nothing in my files for that exact style or style number 9149, but I'm wondering if I have one of its forgotten ancestors.

I've mentioned a Sample messenger-style bag several times that I bought 6 or 8 years ago that I've never been able to find anywhere else. But except for the 2 underflap front pockets on mine being unstructured and "floppy" instead of sort of accordion-type gusseted and the leather on mine being softer and squishier, it looks very similar to that style 9149 in that listing. It's possible my sample may have been the original sample version. Same size too.

@whateve, check out the photos I posted of mine back in 2015. Even that partial extra stiffener panel inside the flap behind the magnetic snaps is in the same position in both bags.

I'll post them here too.

MINE - the actual color is closest to the first 2 pics, but lighter:

Very similar! When I first saw it, the first thing I thought of is the Bonnie Cashin I'm carrying today. It seems like the inspiration for this bag.

What a shame they didn't make more of them. It seems like a great style. I find those two front pockets so useful.

How fascinating! Your bag definitely looks like a progenitor or relative of the 9149.

I scoured the web but could not find a single other Coach bag that looked like it. I also wondered if it might have been from the men’s line.

Those front pockets were a big reason I bid on it. That and the back slip pocket.

Hello,
I am sorry if I am asking the wrong person or in the wrong place, this is my first time asking to authenticate a bag.

I acquired this Coach Regina bag while I was an employee of Coach and feel 100% certain it is a genuine Coach, but my bag is white 0F8CCAF0-A668-48B5-8C9A-825EF16D23EF.jpeg140DAD07-6F22-4AC7-8514-F4905EE20FBA.jpeg5C5A1C42-2C85-4E98-96AE-61D19F6282E5.jpeg50F7C4E1-1FFF-4137-856F-195AC3CABB25.jpegD4035923-077E-4C5A-B1F1-97134A2ECC9D.jpegB84015EE-F1FA-4077-9A3E-09702D7959BB.jpeg19E78E6C-B708-4455-8D64-9C5CC7BDA374.jpeg02C5ED93-20B4-434C-A2EA-EE202469A9AD.jpeg9ABDC7CA-A740-4F99-B14A-C18DCD8B81A3.jpegand has a brushed nickel turn lock and nickel hardware, which I never seen on another Regina of any color. Having worked there as an assistant manager for several years, I suspect it is a bag that was used for photography of the brand/style when it was introduced or other types of media along those lines or as a display model only. That was not uncommon back then (mid to late 90’s), however when that WAS the case, an additional letter reflecting how it was used was usually added at the beginning of the serial number OR before the “No” and serial number were even listed. This bag has none of that, but I also have to say that for Coach at that time, I wouldn’t consider THAT unusual either. There was A LOT going on with the brand and product at that time.

It is a complete mystery to me and has been for years. I am interested in selling it, but obviously need to know the “story” behind it if you may be able to help. I hope so, it has driven me nuts for over 20 years now!

Thank you so much.

It appears authentic. The color appears to be bone. Usually that color was done with brass hardware but nickel hardware was being used with certain leather colors. It's possible it was a sample to try that leather/hardware combination. Based on the creed, it was made in 1999, and the style had already been around for several years.

In my experience I haven't found extra letters added to the creed during the 90s. Later, they sometimes used a P in creeds for pilot bags. I've personally owned a bag that was made for a photo campaign before the style was introduced and it didn't have an extra letter in the creed, indicating such.

I think it would sell well with the nickel hardware. I wouldn't mention it might have been a sample in your listing. I might say it was a rare color combination.

Not sure I’m doing this right, again having trouble with copy/paste….and no grandkiddos nearby, arrghhh!
Feel free to omit if not right; this was the only way I knew to do it.
Purchased this on impulse, but pretty sure the female part of snap was replaced. What do y’all make of this? Authentic, or should I return? Just wanted to verify before I try to rehab her! Thank you!

Not quite the format we want but that's okay this time!

It's authentic, made in 1997.

If the back of the female side of the snap has prongs holding it in place, I'm not sure that's original. Other opinions are welcome.

But the bag is fine.

Hi Authenticators,
Can someone please check this bag for me when you get a chance? I appreciate your help. Thank you!

I've never actually seen the backs of that brand of magnetic snap, but the front part of the male half looks good. I agree that the bag is authentic, it's an Equestrian Slim Bucket.
