Hi—hoping you experts can weigh in on this Coach Willis bag I have in my possession. I purchased it on EBay last month, but am now questioning its authenticity. The exterior measures approx. 9.5” tall to top of dowel x 10.5” wide x 3.5” deep at base. Please let me know if additional photos are needed—many thanks
Even though it's an ended and sold listing, we need the info required as stated at the top of the page.

seller heidysfabfinds

It's an authentic Willis, style 9927.

Seller has wrong style number in title and wrong serial number in description. (I have no idea where she found the serial number she states in the description!)

Thank you so much--and thanks for posting the link to the original Ebay auction...wasn't sure if that was needed since I am now the owner of the bag; will make a note of that for future postings on thepurseforum :)
I did notice that the seller had the wrong info in the title and description--I am figuring that she created a template from a past listing and forgot to change the wording. I plan to list this purse on Ebay, but needed to have some input pertaining to authenticity before listing. Many thanks for your opinion, I appreciate it

Dear authenticators,
I purchased this signature checkbook wallet at GW. Would you mind having a look?
If it is authentic, do you happen to know when it was made? I am completely unfamiliar with the signature line.
Dimensions are: 7 3/4” long, 4” tall, and about 1” thick. Many thanks in advance!

Item: Coach Madison mini satchel
Listing number: n/a
Seller and site where listed: oli.pop / mercari
Link: https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m63297320115/
Comments: The seller indicated that there was no creed patch inside and the white tag just says made in china. The leather does look similar to the madison line but no coach logo fixture on the bag at all.

Any assistance to authenticate this bag and additional information known about the style if authentic is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

Do you have the bag in your possession?

Somewhere inside the bag, probably inside the pocket buried in a lower (and well-hidden) corner, there should be a small white label with two rows of printing on it. You (or the seller) may have to turn the pocket inside out to find and photograph it.

I believe it's okay. It looks like style 44017, Sutton signature checkbook wallet.

It's authentic. Reposhing is when someone buys something from a posh member, then later decides to resell it. They are allowed to use the original listing's pictures. I would imagine the higher price is due to the fees the seller will have to pay, which are 20%. You can make an offer to the seller to see if she will accept a discount. Most posh sellers are open to that.

Thank you whatev! The context is super helpful.

To the thread in general: I've got another authentication request I'd like to get y'all's opinion on please. (I may have been window shopping a lot today...) Here are the details:

Item: Penny / Pocket Purse 9755
Seller: cristinamoda
Etsy Listing: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1098940051/vintage-coach-pocket-purse-9755-british

Let me know if you have any questions and many thanks in advance!

Thanks, I was hoping that interior might give me a clue to whether it might be a large travel clutch of some kind, but apparently not or it would have probably had things like credit card or business card slots or pockets, so it's definitely a handbag style. There just doesn't seem to be any currently available information about it, just the the serial number format indicating it was made in the early 1990s. I've checked all my late 1980s and early 1990s paper catalogs and all the catalog scans posted in the Reference subforum for the appropriate time period. Add it to our Mystery bag family.
I deeply admire your dedicated thoroughness.

No, I hadn't purchased it yet, since I wasn't really sure about it. I will check to see if she can look for the hidden tag. Thank you!

It's definitely genuine but I don't know any background information about the style or any other related styles. There's only one other related style in my files, a Kimono Mink Gallery Tote 3592 (the word "Signature" apparently wasn't part of the name of either style, the words "Legacy" and "Signature" often get added by sellers to styles they never belonged to, just like "Cashin"). Style 3591 was just called a Kimono Mink Hobo. They were made in 2005. There's more information in the Ebay listing than I've found anyplace else.

Thank you, Hyacinth!!! It kind of was surprising for me to see that Coach did fur. Ebay then recommended for me a couple of other listings, one Coach bag with rabbit fur and another coach bag with tweed and (assuming mink) brown fur.

Fur has pretty much fallen out of favor in the last 20 years. Even leather keyfobs with fur trim have mostly disappeared from Coach's inventory. Shearling is one of the few fur trims still being used on a regular basis.

The original Kimono styles were probably limited availability, and if I remember correctly, very expensive. I don't remember ever seeing them in my local Coach full-price store and it's located in a well-to-do suburb.

ETA - there are 2 more listed on Ebay, a Hobo and a Tote
