OK, I give up.

You've just won this month's "Stump The Authenticator" award. It's definitely a genuine Coach but I can't find any record or catalog listings for it anywhere. All I can say for sure is that it was made in the early 1990s. I've NEVER seen a flap-type bag with that long a turnlock tab except for the Station Bag, and nothing at all with that east-west shape.

If you have a chance, could you post a photo of the entire inside pocket, side to side, or whatever panel the creed is stamped into? Thanks!

That's beautiful! It's an authentic plaza bag.

Good afternoon. Kindly take a look at this bag for authenticity. Thank you so much!

Just unpacked a fake shipped to me from shopgoodwill online (Florida). The price was good for a swingpack crossbody. I should have asked here first. I should have looked more carefully, their photo had a blurry creed. Now in my hand, I can read it. The "creed" says: YE-02-57-0589. That's a known bogus number. So many things about the bag look wrong and/or cheap. The quality of leather, number one. Also, there's signature fabric on the inside lining and the outside fabric. I think I read here that Coach doesn't do that. The fabric strap has the words COACH all along it. The zipper pull is embossed Coach. The font is wrong on the embossed "leather" (not sure) on front, especially the A in Coach. The lining is cheap polyester, not canvas or sateen. Trinkety hardware. Oh, well. I have a little stack of fakes that I got by accident, I'll throw this one on the pile. Here's the bag: https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/132763099 Edit: looking at the bag some more. I don't even think it's leather. :P Should I return it? I only paid like $7 for it.
I got a fake from there as well! Got my money, including shipping reimbursed.

Ok, I think maybe I've bought a fake...

Item: Vintage Willis
ebay listing: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/203658533180

Everything seems to check out with the bag, but now that I have it in hand, the lobster claw clasps are different than on my 1993 Willis and my 1995 British Tan Willis.

Thanks again for everyone's help!

Cheers!
The bag is authentic, made in 1994. I can't comment on the clips.

Thanks, I was hoping that interior might give me a clue to whether it might be a large travel clutch of some kind, but apparently not or it would have probably had things like credit card or business card slots or pockets, so it's definitely a handbag style. There just doesn't seem to be any currently available information about it, just the the serial number format indicating it was made in the early 1990s. I've checked all my late 1980s and early 1990s paper catalogs and all the catalog scans posted in the Reference subforum for the appropriate time period. Add it to our Mystery bag family.
