Additional pictures. No white tag found inside. Thank you
I'm not familiar enough with the bag to authenticate but the price tag appears fake.
The price tag is definitely fake and is identical to those seen in the many fakes listed by Japanese sellers.

Please post a better angled and more legible picture of the creed and serial number.
Noted! Clearer pic added.
Although I don't see any red flags regarding the bag, the newer fakes, particularly those sold by Japanese sellers and with the fake props are extremely close.

And a bag that came with that tag doesn't make me feel too positive. Personally, I'd return it.

Thanks! But oh god,it looked the same to me the price tag indeed gave a red flag..

Unless Coach has changed their abbreviation system in the last 20 years, the price tag seems to be describing a Signature wallet.

If it IS fake as the tag and the various details and positions of various items seem to indicate, the fakers did get one detail right, but it was just a matter of time before they finally figured that one out.

Request for authentication, opinions…

I purchased this a while ago and it’s still bugging me. This “early stewardess” has “solid brass” buckles that appear to have been only plated which has worn off and a bad replacement male turnlock piece, but only 2 slits where the old one was. This bag also has the Coach cartouche embossed on the first inside pocket and “top grain cowhide” in gold on the inside zipper pocket. It measures 11 x 9.5 x 4. I’ve included some detailed shots and if anything else is needed let me know. Any input is appreciated!

Do the buckles feel heavy like they should if they are solid brass? I've never seen that top grain cowhide on a bag that I can remember but I have seen it on a 60s wallet. I would have assumed that by the time this bag was made, they were using full grain. It is extremely hard to authenticate these as there aren't creeds to check, but I don't think pre-creed bags are usually a target of counterfeiters. But someone could potentially put a Coach stamp on a generic bag. I can't imagine why even a generic bag would have solid brass stamped on the buckles if it weren't true.

And that's one of the hallmarks of the Japanese fakes. The fake tags describe signature accordian wallets and the color codeof the item is (almost?) always black.

That's about the only thing I was surprised about!

Yep, and it only took them about 25 years to do it. Wonder how they figured it out?

So now we have to assume that it's one of those "mostly genuine" details, like bullseye outlet stamps. No biggie. We've always considered it a secondary rather than a primary proof anyway.

Here are a few examples of fake tags from Japanese sellers. Note the description on the tags.
