I’m so sorry I was trying to take pictures at a thrift store and it was kinda awkward lol! It was cheap so I bought it…. Hopefully it’s real
It’s about 12x8
Serial number: 9407
Sorry for the dark spots on the back I was just lotioning it to try and remove some marks on it!

Thank you, the extra photos are a big help.

Thank you for your time.

The first one is a genuine Ergo Shopper.

Your comment about a damaged strap is appearing under the second listing, but the seller's last photo in the first listing also seems to show a damaged strap.

The second bag is a genuine Compact Pouch. I'm NOT a rehabber and not qualified to judge if something may be damaged or if it's fixable, sorry. The fact that the seller is showing a close-up of the base of the strap may mean that the seller thinks it's a problem, but that's something that you should ask at the Rehab and Rescue Club thread under Coach Clubhouse in the main Coach forum. You might want to ask about the last photo showing a close-up of the strap in the first listing for the Ergo as well.

The third bag is genuine but it's not a Nottingham, it has a springlock instead of a turnlock and is a few years older. It's a Binocular Bag style 9853 from around 1990-1992. Click on the thumbnail.

Thanks Hyacinth for your expertise.

I saw the damaged strap in listing 1 as well, thanks for bringing this back to my attention.

I'll head over to the other threads. I'm not sure that I will be able to fix it on my own and will keep looking. Seems to be a common style.

I knew that this bag had a springlock, but didn't realise there was a version that had a turnlock, the things you learn.

Thanks for all of your time and knowledge.

It's a genuine Sonoma Small Flap Natural Grain made in 1996. Many hangtags from the 1990s were two pieces glued together and often separated like that, not just the ones on Sonomas. It was such a common occurance that some counterfeiters during the 1990s and early 2000s made their fakes with what they hoped would look like two halves of once-glued together hangtags. From Spring 1997:

Thank you Hyacinth!
Wow. This is fascinating. Except for the counterfeiters…they’re just relentless.

First, welcome to tPF.

Nothing can be authenticated using a serial number. The ONLY thing that a number can indicate is a possible fake. Just because other bags may have the same number can NEVER prove that any of them are genuine. And bags made before 1994 will all have their own unique numbers, unless they're fake. Take all the "rules" you've ever found in other online so-called authenticity guides and throw them in the garbage.

This one is a genuine Court Bag, style 9870 and made in the early 1990s.

Thank you!
