Hi Authenticators,

Item: Small Flap Bag Natural Grain
Where purchased or how obtained: another Red White & Blue
Comments: Does the tag look okay to you? I’ve never seen it separate like that before. Did it just come un-glued you think?

Thank you!

It's a genuine Sonoma Small Flap Natural Grain made in 1996. Many hangtags from the 1990s were two pieces glued together and often separated like that, not just the ones on Sonomas. It was such a common occurance that some counterfeiters during the 1990s and early 2000s made their fakes with what they hoped would look like two halves of once-glued together hangtags. From Spring 1997:

May I please have an authentication?

Item(s): lot of 3 - two Willis and one mercer (?) I'm not familiar with newer styles
Seller: shopats
Site: Ebay
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/353655224507

Comments: The creeds were not included in the listing but the seller emailed them to me
'Creed2' looks to be a taupe color yet the listing shows a saddleback (?) color so I have mixed feelings. Is it just lighting?

The bags are all fine.

The colors appear to be camel (Willis with silver hardware), British tan (Willis with brass) and I don't know the color of the Mercer satchel.

As long as the two Willises you receive have exactly the same creeds and serial numbers as the photos you were sent, they're genuine.

I can't help with the Mercer, thanks, BB!

I wasn't interested in the Mercer but I guess it's found a new loving home. I will absolutely check to make sure the creeds match when they arrive. :)

Thank you!

Hi! Can anyone help me with this bag please:) Thank you!

Hello! New here. I tried to look through recent pages to see if this was listed, but didn't see it.

Item: Coach Vintage Court Bag Black Leather Crossbody Bag Satchel Early 90's 9870
Listing number: 255125793931
Seller and site where listed: newtopsales, ebay
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/255125793931
Comments: Seller relisted it today because the listing ended. Description seems very detailed. I am new to this so don't know how to authenticate using the serial number, but it says #0690-902

Thank you for your time and knowledge.

First, welcome to tPF.

Nothing can be authenticated using a serial number. The ONLY thing that a number can indicate is a possible fake. Just because other bags may have the same number can NEVER prove that any of them are genuine. And bags made before 1994 will all have their own unique numbers, unless they're fake. Take all the "rules" you've ever found in other online so-called authenticity guides and throw them in the garbage.

This one is a genuine Court Bag, style 9870 and made in the early 1990s.

Please read the READ ME post at the top of each page and include all the required information including the link where it's being sold if applicable, a full set of front and back photos, and measurements.
I’m so sorry I was trying to take pictures at a thrift store and it was kinda awkward lol! It was cheap so I bought it…. Hopefully it’s real :)
It’s about 12x8
Serial number: 9407
Sorry for the dark spots on the back I was just lotioning it to try and remove some marks on it!
