Hi! Would you please authenticate this bag? The creed is K6P-9060, but the spacing in the K69 bit seems a little funky.

They year code is a 9, not a 6. It indicates 1999 as the year it was made. It's a genuine Slim Duffle Sac.

There are a LOT more problems with that fake besides just the stitching.

Even the description in the listing title is wrong! Bonnie Cashin had nothing to do with it and even if it was real it wouldn't be a "Bonnie Cashin", it's 20 years too recent. Or it would be if the bag was genuine and the date codes were accurate.

  • The genuine pebbled leather smells weird to me (different smell from my Cashin 22)
  • The stitching at the top ends near buckles are sticking out (you can see it in the attached pictures)
  • The hang tag fell off after I took it out from dust bag on the 2nd day. Stitching on the hang tag also isn't the best.
  • Tarnished hardware even though seller claims to have used it only a handful of times

I wouldn't expect this bag to smell the same as the Cashin 22 as that is smooth leather. My BC 22 smells more like leather than my Emery. I've had my Emery (small size) for more than a year and it has hardly any smell at all. I can't remember what it smelled like when new. My hangtag looks exactly like yours. Having the hangtag fall off happens on authentic bags. Most of the details match my bag. My bag was made in a different plant so I can't compare creeds and mine, being the smaller size, doesn't have the back zip pocket.

In what country did your friend buy it?

More opinions are encouraged.

My friend bought it in the US. Also for clarification my Cashin 22 is the black color which is pebbled leather. Thanks for your input!

I can't read the creed at all but I'm not comfortable with some of the details.

If you can get a much clearer picture of the creed, that might help.
