Hi, The seller sent me a bag that is NOT the EXACT one pictured. The signs of wear are different, different wrinkles, and the C's inside the leaves are positioned differently. To my eye, comparing it to the listing photos, it appears to be the same bag (edit: same style, NOT same EXACT bag), but I'm no expert.

Would you be able to take a look at photos of the actual bag I was sent?

THANKS!!!!

The Cs inside the leaves are usually going to be positioned differently. Coach doesn't always match them on patches and appliques, it would waste too much fabric.

Sellers often re-use pictures from one bag in listings for another bag in the same style. Unless there are substantial differences in condition between the listing photos and the actual bag, or the seller says in the listing that "the bag in the photo is the exact one you will receive" it's not a problem. All that matters to Ebay is if the bag is genuine and "as described". That's the only thing Ebay cares about and can control. Although in this instance the seller DOES claim that you're getting the bag in the photos:
"so what you see is what you are getting..." And for the price you paid I would expect the same.

Wait for BeenBurned to comment. And if it were me, I would definitely leave Feedback saying the bag I received was NOT the same one as in the photos.

Exactly. I understand the variations. But when there is evidence that the seller is sending a bag different than the one photographed, it concerns me. And I politely pointed it out to her, and she swears it's the same bag, and the only one she had. Which only proves that she's not telling the truth. Which further concerned me about authenticity.

Thank you for taking a look!

I'll just add that there's NO problem with authenticity - the bag you received is genuine.

Do you think that warrants "Neutral" feedback or "Negative"? I received an authentic bag, in the style listed. But not the EXACT one pictured as it claims in the listing, and the seller lied about it when questioned.

At very least, this along with the handful of fakes that popped up after I originally requested authentication, it would seem this seller is generally not trustworthy.

The bag in the pictures in the listing is NOT the bag you received.

Here are just 3 pictures showing the very slight differences in pattern placement but they ARE different bags, nonetheless, authentic or not!
love2shopdotbags shows different bags than what you'll receive although she asserts differently in the listing.

I'm torn as to what type of feedback to leave.

1. You received an authentic bag
2. Description didn't match bag since seller claimed pictures show actual item
3. You say the seller lied when questioned? At what point did you question it? And what was the question? Did you ask specifically whether the bag in the listing is the one you'd receive?

It's a slippery slope because if you leave positive feedback with a negative comment, ebay can remove it if the seller complains. You can ding her stars, particularly the "as described" since the listing states that what you see is what you get.

Have you contacted the seller to let her know that the bag you got is a different one from what's shown? Have you questioned why she states otherwise?

Depending on her response would help decide what feedback she might deserve.

Please wait for other opinions on feedback because I'm torn on this one! One thing I will say is that I personally don't recommend love2shopdotbags!

I questioned her last night after I noticed the differences. And she adamantly denied they were different bags.

ETA: I certainly don't recommend her either. I may have received an authentic bag, but she is clearly dishonest.

Again, thank you both for your time & your feedback!

This has been a bit of a fiasco. The only Coach I've bought from eBay in YEARS. However, I feel like it may have done some good for any TPF'ers considering buying from her and coming here, without causing me any real hardship in that the bag I received is authentic.

But it certainly goes to show that this seller is deceptive and dishonest.

That's a lie! Show her the side-by-side pictures I posted. This is NOT the same bag and there is no way she can say it is.

She may not have another of the same style at this time, but my guess is that she sold one previously and recycled pictures.

Why lie about it though? This is further evidence of (at best) lack of ethics!! As for being an honest seller, well her history of listing fakes shows that she doesn't verify items before listing them.
