It was made in 1994, so it isn't from before style numbers were used. That is why the style number is in the creed, as well as the month, year and factory codes. For earlier bags, Coach didn't match the zipper to the leather. All zippers were either black or navy. I can't remember which year they changed, but when they changed, they phased it in gradually, using up the old zippers first. After they switched the inside pocket zippers changed from metal to nylon.

@whateve Thank you so much for clarifying this. I had no idea. The knowledge that you all have is unbelievable. I actually received the bag today and it's beautiful. I am sorry I ever thought it was fake! Thank you again.

There should be a white tag somewhere in the bag, probably buried in an inside pocket. It has 2 rows of numbers/letters.

Comment: The seller replaced my purchase with this new one because they sent me a fake one previously. I figured out that the bag last time is fake because I also seek confirmation from here. Hopefully, this replacement is already authentic (just to be 100% sure).

I'm certain that it's fake and would like to see a link to the instagram seller's listings. (Without knowledge of where the seller is, I'm guessing it's PI.)

1. Although the bag has the "correct" style number on the creed, the text of the creed says that it's a reimagination of the convertible waist pack from 1992." This is NOT a waist pack!
2. The creed patch is a mess - sealant, logo, description, stamping
3. The picture on the creed isn't even the same bag as it's on!

I also have a question. Why would you do business again with a seller who tried to get away with ripping you off by selling a fake and hoping you wouldn't notice?

Seller is shopalamodebags on instagram. I trusted the seller again because a known influencer who I follow supports the business. Also, I really like the bag tried to check everywhere but the bag is sold out.

I don't believe the bag is authentic though it's not as obvious a fake as the first one.

I don't feel comfortable recommending the seller or her items and just because an influencer supports the business doesn't mean the influencer knows the brands. (And do you know that the influencer isn't "connected" to the seller?)

I've come back to make my opinion clearer. I'd said, "I don't believe the bag is authentic." More directly, I'm positive that it's fake too!
