Thank you so much, especially the Cashin distinguishment ! Very much appreciated!

Both are genuine. The glued-in strips with the stamped serial number is how Coach inserted the number in the late 1970s or very early 1980s. Sometimes the strips would come loose and get lost. They're probably NOT a Cashin style, Coach also had their own in-house designers in the Cashin Era (1962-1974) and the two bags are correct for those Coach originals. Since Cashin parted company with Coach in 1974 and as you pointed out the "Factory" booklet was printed no earlier than 1977, they're not "Cashin-era" bags either. Genuine Coach bags designed by Cashin usually but not always would have one of her labels, or special lining, or both.

They're both Basic Bags, style number 9455. The 2-tone was called a Spectator color combination. All the paperwork and inserts are original. The same bag was called a Zippered Clutch in the 1970s and the name changed to Basic bag some time in the 1980s, although those dates are just guesstimates. Here are catalog pages for both, click on the thumbnails to open them.

I also hope you know that "influencers" get paid in real money for their opinions and how their followers act on them. Some of them earn tens of thousands of dollars, and the really well-known ones like the Kardashians and other celebrities can make MILLIONS. And that's US dollars.

So keep reminding yourself that many of those people who are getting paid to promote certain products and sellers have thousands, maybe millions, of reasons to persuade their "followers" to buy the things they're recommending. Money is a great way of convincing them to believe or pretend to believe the fantasies and outright lies that they're told, if they can make good money by doing it. Maybe some are doing it because they really think they're helping people, but if there was no cash to be made by being an "influencer" there would be a LOT fewer of them.

They're basically selling on commission and getting paid by clicks, and unlike the sales assistants in a department store trying to convince you that this wonderful new anti-ageing cream will make you look like you're 17 again, they don't even have to look you in the eye and make you think that they're telling you the truth when they do it.
I agree. You made a lot of points here. Thanks so much on this. I’m amazed how you guys are very knowledgable! We should be very careful indeed :( last question, just wondering, what made that bag fake? Is it the creed again? (just curious since it was mentioned that it is not as obvious as the fake one last time) thanks very much!

I prefer not to be too specific because I don't want to help the fakers to make better fakes and the scamming sellers of those fakes to know what not to show in their listings.

I'll say there are some problems with the construction, the stitching and certain creed details.

Its fine. This is already sufficient. Thank you BeenBurned for all the information. Very appreciated as always!

I am still not sure if I am starting this question in the correct sport. But here goes.
I found a black handback, Coach, I think it is a Daisy Mia style? It is sized about 12 1/4” (L) x 10 3/4” (H) x 4” (W). When I take pictures of the hardware, would a dime next to the hardware be advised to determine size?
Thank you
