Could you help me authenticate this Willis as well? This one seems not a vintage bag, and it's made in China in 2004. Not sure if coach started to make Willis in China? Thank you for your time

It's authentic. Coach started making classic bags in China around 1999, although many were still made other places, including the US, at the time. They continued making Willis bags in China through 2013, at least.

You can only compare creeds from bags made at the same factory at the same time. The A plant, which is on the creed of your bag, wasn't a real plant. It was Coach headquarters, and from what we've seen, it was used for samples and possibly for training. We see a lot of mistakes on creeds from the A plant.

I'm not seeing a significant difference between the leather on the dowel on your bag and your example.
The depth of combined knowledge on this forum is incredible. I always wondered about the A Plant. Thanks to all of the authenticators.

So another snow storm in the Northeast followed by a freezing cold Monday had me cleaning out the clown-car-Coach-closet once again. I have three to authenticate and I will put them in separate posts.

Coach Companion Bag? bag shows style 9076
Yard sale or Church sale about two years ago.

Number two--I know this is commonly called a canteen bag but I'm not sure of what Coach called it.
Two years or more in a closet--probably a white elephant sale.
8 1/2 x 7 x 3

Two things: apologies for the upside down creed. These tiny bags are a challenge for photographing inside. Also, after figuring out the greens of my duffle sacs, I'm pretty sure that this is not bottle green but that dark forrest green that Coach used briefly. Does that make sense (if authentic) considering other indicators?

I'm so appreciative of your help.

Last: a Kimball bag (I hope)
sale from 2019--probably a rummage-type sale
8 x 7 x 2

The more I look at it, the less inclined I am to sell. If authentic, obviously.

Thank you once more. More snow coming later this week--who knows what I may find then.

Thank you once more. More snow coming later this week--who knows what I may find then.
All three are authentic. First is a companion flap. Second is a Chester bag from the early 90s. The 1992 ad for Chester says it came in bottle green. The darker green was 80s I think. Reds are very hard to part with.

Comments: I saw in an old post by Hyacinth that J4D- prefix is often found in fakes: #5,958 so I want to see if this is authentic.

Many thanks xx
I'm not seeing a complete creed. I can't say for sure without a complete creed picture but I'm not seeing any problems. It doesn't have the font of the fake J4Ds.

@whateve!! What great news! Thank you so much! I'll take a look at that Chester--the color is dark in some light and brighter in others. Red bags--(and purple)--my biggest weakness! Stay safe and thank you, as always!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Please can I request a review of authentication for my latest purchase, now in-hand:

Where purchased: Vinted (UK site)
Seller ID: Katmleh
Item: “Coach - Leather Bag”
Measurements: 11 x 7 x 3” (approx). She feels larger, probably due to stretched/saggy leather. Strap length: 38” overall, 34” leather strap only
Comments: My research tells me this may be a Convertible Clutch, Style Reference 9635, pre-1994. She is missing her hangtag. Any insight into her colour also appreciated. If authethenticated she’ll join my rehab pile for some TLC.

Many thanks in advance as always, and please stay safe.

Zoe xx
