And it's back!

And from the description: "***This is authentic***. It is a vintage piece and absolutely authentic! I only buy and sell authentic items."

Fawlty Towers is my absolute favorite. Too bad they didn't make more of them. We are always quoting things from episodes of it.

Two bits of dialogue that always make me howl are from "The Kipper and The Corpse" John Cleese's delivery is brilliant:

Dr Price: You mean to tell me you didn't realise this man was dead?

Basil: Well, people don't talk that much in the morning. Look, I'm just delivering a tray, right. If the guest isn't singing "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'," I don't immediately think "Oh, there's another snuffed it in the night! Another name in the Fawlty Towers Book of Remembrance." I mean, this is supposed to be a hotel, not a Burma railway!

(a guest has died and Polly has just knocked out Miss Tibbs)
Basil : Oh spiffing. Absolutely spiffing. Well done. Two dead, Twenty-five to go.

Hello ladies ! Could I please have this soho belted bag looked at . I noticed there is a bullseye in the top right corner of the flap, is that a pretty good indication the bag is authentic ? Thank you so much for your time :flowers:

That outlet stamp should never be used to prove a Coach is authentic. Stamps can be faked, fakes can be "returned" to an outlet store during very busy times like after the Christmas holidays when stores will often accept returns without receipts, and fakes might be returned to one of Coach's retail partners such as Macy's or Dillard's and the store will simply send the item to Coach or to one of the outlets and no one bother to check or be capable of telling if it's authentic.

The only REAL proof of authenticity is if all the item's details including its construction but especially all the details of the creed stamp and serial number are EXACTLY right for the month, year and plant shown in the serial number, or for pre-1994 bags, that the fonts and details match other vintage bags from the same period. And there is always the possibility of mistakes at the plant, so exceptions like that need careful analysis. There are no one or two single details that can prove a Coach is genuine, no matter what all those online "Authenticity Guides" claim. And there is NO computer program that can tell if a Coach is genuine by using AI.

The one you're asking about is genuine. Soho Belted Pouch made in 1996.

Thank you so much for the information. Is there a website or somewhere on the forum that has the country codes ? I am trying to figure out the creeds on my bags..as in where and when they were made. It is very confusing to me. LOL

I'm not seeing any photos of the serial number. Without that and without any measurements the bag really can't be authenticated or identified. It's possible that maybe the creed's location in the outside pocket is what someone thought was a red flag. If the bag doesn't have any inside pocket for the creed, that might be the reason.

Mercari has flagged genuine bags before and missed some fakes, so please don't depend on their claimed "expertise".
Thank you for your reply @Hyacinth. The bag measures 8"L x 5.5"H x 2"D. I've attached two creed pics that will hopefully help.Carnival Creed 1.JPGCarnival Creed 2.jpg The stamping isn't very deep but it reads No. F5D - 9925 and is in the front pocket like you mentioned.

Comment: creed picture here
Ideally, we need the full creed showing the edges, stitching and a small amount of area outside the creed. But I can see enough to say that the bag is authentic.
