Maybe now she will understand why we recommend that unless a seller is expert, items purchased on the secondary market should be authenticated prior to listing them.

I like to think that when a listing is removed, a buyer who gets the takedown notice about the item will take the time to question authenticity or ask questions as to why the listing was removed and perhaps demand a refund from the seller.

I'm wondering, would eBay have removed both listings the seller had for this bag?

I recently bought this bag thinking it was real but once I got it home I noticed a difference in color between the bag and the strap. I'm wondering if that is a bullseye on the creed? I've only just learned about them from this site. Could this be an outlet bag? Thank you.

Could someone please authenticate these Coach bags?

First one is approx. 9"w x 6"h x 2"d. Strap 8" to rings.
A 2005 Chelsea Pebbled Small Hobo #8E96?
Thanks in advance!

The 2nd GW bag is another "rescue" or spare parts bag...all 4 corners are demolished, but it was only $1.00, so why not? Maybe someday I'll need the strap and I can always use ball chains :)
Maybe a 2002 Twill Hobo something-or-other #9124?
Thanks again!

ETA: forgot dimensions...10.5"w x 9"h x 5"d. Strap 9.5" to buckles.

The bag is genuine, I can't say if the strap is. It might have been replaced or swapped with a different bag. Or maybe one received some kind of cleaning or conditioning treatment that the other didn't.

It does have an outlet stamp, but keep in mind that an outlet stamp isn't proof positive that something is a genuine Coach. There are several ways that outlet stamps can end up inside fake bags.

Both genuine, the second is probably a Legacy Canvas Hobo.

Coach Swingpack
Real or fake?
I don't think this bag is authentic. It has a black lozenge signature lining, no inside pockets & like many smaller bags, no style number on the creed. Thanks

If this is an active listing please post the link. And please read post number One in this thread for the information we need included in all authentication requests. Sometimes if your photos won't post, we can still find the item from the sale or auction URL.

And read the FAQs at the bottom of each page for info on how to post photos. Pay attention to the sizes and formats allowed.
