Someone gave me two Coach bags quite a while ago. I think they may have been purchased in Japan. I would appreciate it if they could be authenticated. This is the first of the two bags.

I am a newbie in purses. I don't know the name of the item. So, I would also appreciate if you could also identify the name of the bag, if possible.

The measurements are about Width: 12 inches (top); 8 inches (bottom) / Length: 12 inches

Comments: The leather on the strap and the leather on the top trimming seem to be of different color. The strap is darker while the top trimming is lighter.

Thank you.

Genuine, made in 2007. I don't have a name for it but it look like some kind of Bleecker Signature Duffle. That's just a guess.

The seller removed the listing because she knows it's fake and relisted it? In fact, the serial number GAD-4437 is a common invalid number and on Hyacinth's list of phony serials.

She also has these fakes:
and this one:

She sold this:

DO NOT BUY FROM josiecup on Poshmark!

HO - LEEEE - CWAP!

It looks like a Stewardess Bag style 9525 from the early to mid 1980s. It may be the airline version but I can't see any stamps on the strap, and the strap may have even been replaced. We'd need better photos of the strap near the ends or of any stamps or markings to be sure.
Hi @Hyacinth

Bag now in hand. No stamping on the buckles. Additional images attached for your review.
Strap length is 36”/92 cms

Many thanks, always

It's genuine, but it doesn't look as if it was used by one of the airlines, unless the strap with any stamp of the airline logo was replaced.
@Hyacinth I really appreciate you taking the time to revisit the pictures.

I’m delighted that she’s authentic, even if she’s not an airline release. She will become part of my lockdown rehab projects pile.

Thanks again, and stay safe

I have one more bag, Is this Taft bag real? The creed doesn't line up the the stamp so I'm not sure whats up!

Seller: comesaleaway
It's fake.

ETA: I was going to comment that this could have been an "honest" mistake by comesaleaway but in looking through other listings (and there weren't a lot of current fakes), I found that she sold these fakes:

There may be more but I gave up. A seller who doesn't verify authenticity of her listings is one to be avoided.

It's fake. The serial number is invalid.

We've said this many times before, but to repeat - Poshmark has an INCREDIBLY bad record when it comes to fakes - not spotting them, and not removing them even when reported by qualified authenticators. Their own so-called authenticators have probably the poorest record of any website. And getting a refund from them is difficult or just plain impossible. Always use extreme caution when buying from PM.
