Dear authenticators, can you please authenticate this bag? This was sent to me as an early christmas gift. I was just wondering about the hang tag and the creed that’s the first time i saw that kind.

I'm sorry, but it's a very bad fake.

It is a strange kind of "friend" who gives their friends counterfeit and I assume illegal merchandise. I hope your country must have some kind of anti-counterfeiting laws? If you really want genuine Coach products I hope you can find an actual store owned and operated by Coach.

The tags say the bag has "artwork by Guang Yu." WHERE IS THE ARTWORK?

Here are more than 100 listings on Ebay US for Coach bags with Guang Yu artwork. Some of these may even be counterfeit but at least they have some kind of design. Yours has nothing.

The fake purse you have is a counterfeit copy of style 73937 but that style number belongs only to a Riley 22 Signature Top Handle with NO artwork. The purse you have has fake tags saying it has Guang Yu artwork and it does not. That style number is not supposed to have any artwork. It's a counterfeit and your friend should be more careful when giving gifts.

It looks genuine, made in May 1997. Coach used the "M" plant code for both the US and Costa Rica at different times in 1997.

I'm in total agreement with Hyacinth. Your friend either got scammed or s/he stuck it to you.

Did the friend buy the bag from an online source? Do you happen to be in the Philippines?

EDIT: Although my opinion won't change, I'd like to see pictures of the full creed showing the whole patch and a bit of lining on all 4 sides as well as a picture showing the full price tag.

Here are a couple of comps.

Note that 2 creeds from 2 of the same style bags made in the same month/year/plant would have IDENtICAL creeds. Text, font, stitching, spacing, etc. should be identical. Look carefully at the differences.





Did you get this bag from the same seller (on Facebook) from whom you bought this one, where you said the seller claims her items are from the US? That seller was in the UAE and on facebook is

I recommend extreme caution when buying from Facebook!

I'm not sure whether this bag was authenticated. I just went back to look at your previous posts and authentication requests and it looks like you or your friends are making some poor purchases.

The bag you posted from Facebook seller "Signature Lines" is absolutely and unquestionably fake.

I'm not sure whether I noticed or commented the first time, but the creed has a date code that claims it was made in September, 2046! That's 26 years in the future!

This is another bag that should be returned.
