Need help authenticating this Coach Wallet (See attached images)

Item: Coach Hamptons Signature Embossed leather Wallet in Brown
Listing number: Item found at a local consignment store
Seller: Consignment store
Link:
Comments: The wallet measures: 7.75 x 4.5
The coin section zipper has YKK stamped on the upper hook of the zipper that the pull feeds through.
I have seen black versions of this wallet online, but have not seen a brown one.
The checkbook holder is missing

Thank you in advance for your help

It's a Hamptons Leather Signature Checkbook Wallet, style 40155, probably from around 2006-07.

Item: COACH-KEYCHAN-BLUE-DANGLING-STONES
Listing number: 171748443521
Seller: http://www.ebay.com/usr/gabsale1?_trksid=p2047675.l2559
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-KEYCH...521?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27fd014581
Comments: My concerns are that the links seem mis-aligned and thin compared to links commonly found in authentic fobs. I also have concerns regarding the shape of the hangtag.

Just for future reference, that particular style was ONLY made for one year, 2005, and only with pink faceted Swarovski crystal stones, it was Coach's official 2005 Breast Cancer Research keychain. Any and all other colors, and any and all other type of stone such as a cats-eye, are FAKE. No exceptions.

Please don't ever get conned into buying one of the fakes. This is the only real one, style 1734:

If it were me, I would cancel it. I've don't have any examples of the X plant being used for the US in 1998. The examples I have from 1999 have a different font. I believe I see grooves in the turnlock.

I have heard of the grooves in the turn lock before Are you saying as a Rule the thing that turns should not have grooves ? I appreciate your help it is amazing how close fake bags are to the real except for a couple things
Also the x seemed odd to me too

Style 9646 is a Soho Vintage Duffle, and style 8A57 is a Hamptons Large Leather Hobo

I've found an X plant code with USA creed in several Ergo Satin Hobos from late 1997, but they weren't stamped with the same serial number stamp as "your" Stewardess, so it doesn't help much in figuring out if the Stew is fake. A better picture of the back of the turnlock would help. The only other Stew I found with a shiny leather inside bottom instead of the natural suede also has a J8Y- serial prefix, and that's a big red flag.

Here are the oddball but genuine USA creeds from the X plant, late 1997 just in case anyone wants them for their files. The creeds still say "glove leather" but Coach probably didn't have time to make an entirely new creed stamp for a line of bags with a fabric they'd never used before. We've seen that with other new lines that introduced new materials, such as the Neos.

Here's a picture of what we mean by "grooves or indents in the turnlock". If the back of the "female" part has "v"s or grooves stamped into it where the metal prongs fold over to hold the two halves together, it's not a Coach turnlock.

Keep in mind, it could just be a replacement made by a different company, which is why we need to see more evidence than just the turnlock. And it ONLY applies to HANDBAGS, not to briefcases, since the newer squared-off turnlocks on briefcases starting in 1996 DID have indents on the back.

ETA - something else I just noticed - the metal grommets on the Stewardess's strap look more like silver than brass. That's ANOTHER red flag.

I don't feel comfortable with it. The pictures aren't good enough to see for sure if there are any other problems with the bag, but I think I see some potential discrepancies. There is something that looks like part of a frame next to the number and the font is off.

O.k. Thanks. I will send them a message. I saw the frame line that you are talking about.
