That seller has a long-standing reputation for items that are in poorer condition than described, dirty, or reeking of cigarette smoke and other odors. It may be better than it used to be but they still have a ways to go. Their reputation here reflects that:

Total aside as I was browsing this thread and didn't see it mentioned elsewhere:

Station 85 is the ebay store of a wholesale leather dealer called Half Pint and they sell a lot of items to costume designers/film studios/high end vintage shops, etc. They have a super curated instagram and the Coach bags listed there are usually in nice condition. When I realized they were the same company I was shocked. I've managed to go to a couple of their sales and they know a LOT about vintage leather, but I don't know how brand specific that knowledge is.

I also know they have A MASSIVE amount of inventory in their warehouse (in the rainy pacific northwest...not storing things properly is going to result in some musty leather!) and if I had to put money on it...I'd bet many of their eBay listings were not sold elsewhere for a reason and are not that well vetted since I don't believe they have a very big staff. Too bad, but that might explain why they use a different name on eBay.

Just thought I'd share since it adds some context to your records!
Thank you for giving some of the background regarding station_85.

I don't know how much you've read of the posts about this seller but I'll add a bit of what I know. (For the record, I've never done business with the seller but even if they had something I wanted, I would make every attempt to find another seller with the same style/item.)

We've seen and authenticated dozens (probably more in the hundreds) of Station 85's listings and for a seller who has such a "curated instagram" and so many leather items, they sure don't take the time to take good pictures, clean them, present them nicely, accurately and honestly describe the condition, nor do they verify authenticity of their items before listing! They've sold many, MANY fakes!

And for a seller who has sold thousands of Coaches, they KNOW what pictures are absolutely essential in order to authenticate them yet they usually don't show those important pictures. (Several years ago, I requested a picture of the creed from one of their listings, explaining that the creed is essential in Coach listings. I received the picture plus a snotty reply telling me they "know what's needed" as far as pictures go.

If you know this seller personally and can talk to him/her/them, they certainly could use constructive criticism!

(And in case station_85 wants to use volume as an excuse for having crappy listings, inaccurate descriptions, poor photos and fakes, they might want to take a lesson from another seller, salearea to see the RIGHT way to do it!)

JMHO.

Thanks for the information. That would explain the sales volume that STATION_85 does, as well as why some of the bags are in poor condition and no one seems to have checked them over for damage and especially odors. There was supposed to have been a change of ownership or management about 10 years ago and things improved slightly since then, but the lack of staff fits in with what I've observed, that they probably have too much inventory and not enough employees. We've seen other high volume Ebay sellers with inventory condition issues, and the damp weather just adds to it. But things like strong cigarette odors that can cause problems for buyers sensitive to them should either not be sold at all, or their records highlighted to disclose bags that have them and include it in the descriptions.

Japanese sellers can have the same kind of issues especially because most population centers are close to the ocean and mildew odors aren't uncommon. Damp climates and lack of adequate dehumidifying during long-term storage is never a good combination.

Thanks again!

It looks fine and I believe is from the 90s. I don't know the style number. It appears to be missing the attached chain and keyring.

ETA: It's style 7219 and was originally like this one. Coach called it multi-function purse:
