I imagine these have to be hard to authenticate as there’s usually no creed or style tag.

Mahogany mini city key thingie
Seller: VintageCloset21 on Etsy (I see the seller has been mentioned as having questionable items in a previous ATC post)
Listing: https://etsy.me/2IF9HUQ
They are hard to authenticate. There are no pictures of the interior nor the back of the turnlock.

I can't read the creed clear enough to tell.
Got another pic from the seller
Wow!

Is it possible to get a picture of the underside of the flap showing the back of the female part of the turnlock?

I'm also curious about the buckles. Is there any stamping on them?

ETA: LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!
@whateve @Hyacinth - That creed threw me!

You probably already read my previous post when someone else asked about that seller, and I haven't seen any reason to change my mind. For the benefit of anyone who doesn't like digging through old posts, I'll repeat it here.

"As Mister Spock would have said - "Fascinating". The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?

I would definitely recommend using extreme caution if buying from VintageCloset21 on Etsy based on that listing for the Duffle Sac. Authenticate all items here first."

We just discussed another "vintage Coach" with the same serial number prefix and exactly the same font as the Duffle Sac sold by VintageCloset21 I was referring to in my comments above. That bag, a "Willis" sold by a different seller was DEFINITELY fake and even had an incorrect style number in the serial.

Seller " VintageCloset21 " on Etsy either is self-authenticating their own bags or is using an authenticator who shouldn't be doing Coach products. That's all I'll say on the subject. The $359 Duffle Sac they sold that I mentioned above with the D4F- serial number prefix was Fake. The key pouch may very well be genuine but I personally would not buy from that seller. JMO, which of course you're completely free to ignore.

ETA - and there were more problems with that sold $359 Duffle Sac than just the serial prefix.

Did Coach ever make bags in India? Seems like a fake to me...

Yes, Coach does make items in India. (I'm not sure I realized they had an Indian plant in 2000.)

Please wait for other opinions but my opinion is that the backpack is authentic, especially after seeing another of the same style with the same creed, made just a month later than the bag in question.

I don't think that plant made a lot of bags, thus my unfamiliarity with the creed.
