Item: Court
Where purchased or how obtained: thrift store
Comments: Dimensions are 7" height, 9 1/2" width, 3" depth. I also would like to chime in in expressing my appreciation on what you do, without recompense and in a professional and timely manner. You all have helped me immensely in my love and budding knowledge of vintage Coach. Thank you for tolerating my sidewards and wonky photos! I am wondering though...if Hyacinth's "delivery" was due to watching too much UK tv? Only Hyacinth can confirm that! And please BeenBurn, don't ever think of leaving! And whateve, you've helped me alot and I want you to know it is appreciated. :flowers::flowers::flowers:

It's fine.

Hi ladies. I would like to see what you think about this hang tag. My friend picked it up at the local GW outlet. She said it was attached to a signature bag (not purchased). She didn't think to take a pic of the bag. Of course we both realize the bag could have been fake.
I did notice the Gramercy's used a shiny brass tag akin to this, but I haven't had my hands on a Gramercy in real life so I have no idea of the size. I did notice pic of a bag a few pages back had one like this and just happened to notice one like this also on a few of what I believe are Lily satchels. The measurements appear to be roughly 1 3/4 x 3/4 ". The font does seem close to the that of the cartouche on a catalog cover.

Some hangtags can be really hard to authenticate. Sometimes in a "good" fake, it's the weight of the charm or the font on the back that is a giveaway but without being able to hold it and feel the weight and without a clearer closer picture of the Coach name on the back, it's hard to say.

What I can say is that it's not an obvious fake if fake, but I can't say it's genuine.

Other opinions are welcome.

I do know they are a challenge. 20201108_172255.jpgThank you beenburned. I do have it in my possession, I can take a close up of the back.

I bought this bag at a local thrift store yesterday. I would be very grateful20201108_163850.jpg20201108_163931.jpg if you could let me know whether it is authentic. Thanks so much for all your help!

I'm less comfortable now. Although my hangtag isn't quite the same style as yours, there are differences that (to me) don't seem correct. (I don't have a brushed/antique brass tag to compare.)

I've done some comparison side-by-sides:

For what it's worth, I have a brass hangtag from a Coach Bleecker tote that I have been carrying on a duffle sac. Here are some other comps.

Thank you! Your pictures are much more of an "apples to apples" comparison than mine are/were.

My opinion is that the hang tag in question is fake but I recommend waiting for other opinions.

Hi, Please authenticate this cute bag and do you happen to know the name of it? And what year it’s from? The leather feels amazing. Thank you in advance!
I got this from a thrift shop.

The logo on the back is what really bothers me. I don't think I've ever seen an authentic cartouche with that exact shape and little amount of spacing above and below the letters.

It's authentic. We need measurements in order to ID. It could be a Lightweights cafe bag #4111 from around 1993.
