So, nursing a backache I was laying down mid-afternoon. What does one do then? Scroll ebay, of course. I have been seeing these large ergo bags from time to time and I remember them in the stores. I made an offer on one maybe not so well-listed and had the offer accepted literally a minute later. That all being said, I'm pleased I can ask for an authentication prior to paying. Buying this on my phone, I hope I actually saw what I thought I saw:

vintage coach black leather shoulder bag

I'm sorry, it's fake. Cancel your purchase.
Aaaaaaannnnnddd karen8149 immediately relisted the fake. @Roro, did you tell her why you canceled? In other words, is she now KNOWINGLY listing a fake?

I don't know the name but it appears authentic.
I don't know the official name either but I'd expect it to be along the lines of Soho suede tote.

Wow! that is so dishonest! really? Is that why the name is karen? Sorry for the good karen out in the world

I picked up this vintage bag the other day at an antique stall the other day, and was looking for help authenticating (and possibly identifying it). The creed looks alright to my (admittedly very inexperienced) eye, but I'm a little nervous because I can't find anything that resembles this style anywhere.

Thanks for the help! I'm new to this.

Item: Vintage brown leather tote (?)
Purchased: Antique stall in Athens, GA

Measurements: 9" tall x 16" wide x 4" deep

It's authentic and looks like a Chrystie bag, style 9892.

ETA: The pictures shown don't appear to have been taken in a Goodwill store. In case the pictures show a different item, you should be aware that it's not a good idea to use pictures of a similar item to verify authenticity of another. They may not be the same.

Hi BB, just checking is it because it was produced in different time the code in the creed is different although the style is the same? Like you’ve said this is Chrystie #9892 and the one in the picture is #300

It's authentic. I believe it is a shoulder brief #5230 made in the early 90s.
