Item:Scooter Bag 9893 (early 1990s, Navy?)
Seller: Goodwill Store
Dimensions: 8 x 5.5 x 2

Comments: I've been on a Scooter Bag kick lately so imagine my surprise when I saw this bag lying face down on the floor at the local Goodwill store, and I was even more surprised when I turned it over to find that it was marked only $3.99! (Make that $3.98, there was a 1986 Penny inside of the bag!) I think that it is navy but I will have to wait for the rehab to confirm that.

Please give an opinion about authenticity. I couldn't get a very good picture of the creed but I can try again if you need a better shot. Thanks in advance for your expert assistance.

Hello authenticator, I would kindly ask you for your advice about authenticity of this wallet, I posted it yesterday but maybe it drowned somewhere. It was a gift and the local thrift store said it could be returned within three days if it is fake. So I would be very kind if someone could help. It is a special edition and is hard for me to find similar for online comparision.

I don't see any problems with it but I confess to not having seen it in person.

It doesn't have problems that other fakes of similar styles have had.

I think you did fine. Other opinions are welcome.

I'm curious about this bag. The creed and font don't look quite right for the plant.

ETA: Hmm. Maybe it's fine.

I have this one in my files. The leather is smooth, not pebbled like the one in the listing.

It's so close, I don't know. I don't have one of these to compare. If it is fake, it sure is close.

With early Sonomas, I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt, even with that particular seller. There really AREN'T any "perfect" Sonoma creeds. As long as it has the right hardware and lining that's about all you can hope for.

Thanks to both!

Hello,

Please authenticate the following bag. I purchased it on Ebay and it is in my possession. If ok, do you know when it was manufactured? It has a lot of weight to be a small bag. There still is a link to the listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Co...704755?hash=item3b425173b3:g:730AAOSw8OteSt87
It's an authentic basic bag made between 1978 and 1983.

Remember my comments in the Salearea Guides about Sonoma creeds.

The same B plant was making both Sonomas and classic smooth leather Coaches at the same time, and using a different leather for the patch than the rest of the bag probably wasn't that unusual. They used what they had and if pebbled natural grain or nubuc was in short supply they probably just used a piece of smooth leather. If they didn't worry about the stamping or the stitching there's no reason to think they'd worry too much about using the "right" grain leather for a patch that no one would ever notice or even see except maybe the bag's owner and they probably wouldn't care. They're making bags with 2 - 3 actually counting Nubuc - different types of leather, and at least 3 different creed stamps, which were stamped directly onto the inside pockets in some bags and on tiny leather patches that they probably weren't accustomed to using yet in others. The creed stamping mechanisms may even have been different. It's not surprising that almost every Sonoma creed patch looks different from the others, things could probably sometimes get chaotic. But if you compare this example of a Sonoma Nubuc bag with a non-pebbled patch from my files to the smooth)er) leather one you posted the tiny details and the shapes of the digits in the serial number seem to be exactly the same.

Hi Authenticator, would very much appreciate if you can let me know below item are Authentic

Item: NWT Coach Pebble Leather Long Wallet in Black
Seller:coach-aholic on ebay
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-Coach-F73156-Pebble-Leather-Long-Wallet-in-Black-/293270973039

Many thanks in advance.
I believe that there should be a small white label with two rows of letters and numbers (production info) inside one of the pockets. The seller may need to use something to prop the pocket open in order to photograph it.

So far, I don't see any red flags but I'd like to see a picture of the white label.
