Hi all~
Doing some hunting on Mercari (I know, I know...) and asked for a complete and legible photo of the entire creed for this bag. The seller's response was "no sorry".
This is the first time I've ever had a seller refuse to take additional or clearer photos of the whole creed.
Just for the heck of it...does anyone recognize this style of bag and ID it? https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m71918410864/ Is it legit?

Many thanks!
The problem with the listing in question is that it shouldn't be posted on the other ID thread and can't be identified unless and until confirmed authentic and because the seller of that bag, HelloKimmy refuses to supply a picture of the creed, we can't help here either.
And for the record, this is HelloKimmy's response to another request for a picture of the creed. (I did give her the benefit of the doubt.)

Yep, and to her "FU" attitude, my response and I hope the response of other tPFers is the same "FU".

Welcome to my Official Not Recommended List, HELLOKIMMY

(And people wonder why we don't recommend Poshmark!)

Please read the instructions at the top of the page that list the information we need such as the URL if it's a recent listing, the measurements of the bag, etc.
Sorry. No, not a listing, found today at a rummage sale. I love coach so thought I would take a chance for $5. Felt very quality. Just hadn’t run into a vintage one in a Long long time. I may sell it, just
Not sure yet. It’s approximately 12” wide x 7” high with a 10” strap drop.

On the subject of which comes first

Remember, a "Coach" has to be known or proven authentic before it can be identified. If it's not authentic, it's not a Coach and doesn't deserve a Coach name. It's just a nameless and possibly illegal item.

Authentication first, identification second, always. Fakes don't deserve names. It's not really fair to ask members to spend time and effort trying to identify something that might have a few details that are different from the genuine version it's copying, especially when it's a listing from a site known to sell fakes. And let's face it, ALL of them have been known to sell fakes, some more than others.

Educated guesses are OK as long as it's made clear that it's not known if that item is genuine, like in some of the "Deals" posts where it will say the item needs to be authenticated before buying. Some posters new to these forums might not understand the difference, which is why any statement implying something IS or even just LOOKS authentic can only be posted at the forums's official authentication threads by the authorized authenticators. If someone else wants to help by supplying information or photos, we'll be grateful for the information.
I understand. But she said she wasn't looking for an authentication, just identification, which indicated she wasn't aware that there was an ID thread, so I posted the link for her just to let her know the thread existed. It had nothing to do with the authenticity or identification of the bag in question. If my original comment indicated otherwise, it was a mistake on my part and unfortunately I cannot go back and edit it now.

Last but not least...could someone please have a look at this one...from GW today.
Approx. 7.5"w x 8.25"h x .5"d. Strap drop 15.5 as shown...previous owner shortened it
2008 Bonnie something-or-other swingpack #42605. Is there a better name?
Thanks for everything
I have the large tote. It is a Bonnie Cashin Coach bag. Not sure of the age.

I don't know but that's the feeling all of this has left me with as well.

This is the first time I've had any seller flat out refuse to provide me with additional information that will help me buy (or most likely not buy, in this case) their product :confused1:
