I have two pulley bags and they are both made the same way. The staples are normal construction for this bag. It's pretty cool actually. The pipings of the bag is what becomes straps for the bag from each side going up and they had to be joined somehow. Sure they could've sewn them but I guess stapling was much faster and cheaper to do. The leather piece you see in pic 9 is made to cover up the joint. It slides in both directions. @Narnanz your bag is fine. Enjoy your new Pulley bag!

Thank you so much!

Are you specifically looking for a style 9635 Convertible Clutch? Because Goodwill lists the size of this one as "small" and both the turnlock and the strap clip in the side view photo make it look like a smaller bag. It looks more like a Pocket Purse which is 2 inches smaller in both length and height than the Convertible Clutch. The Goodwill bag also looks like it has an outside back pocket and the Convertible Clutch doesn't. It also looks like it has a single piece of leather that forms the base and wraps around both sides, while the Convertible Clutch base has a center seam AND a seam on each corner of the base.

I think it's a Pocket Purse. Compare the proportions and take a close look at the picture of the base of the one you asked about earlier today.

Yay...so I dont need to do any sewing or reinforcing.......yay again...thank you for commenting.

No work needed! This pic should help you understand where the stapled part is. It is not visible when the cover is on top of the joined part. You can slide the cover both ways.

Thats really interesting...I can understand the shoulder guard moving either way...but still wonder about the staples?
Well you learn something everyday here.

You did ask already!

Both Hyacinth and I commented on those the other day.

I think for every duplicate authentication request we get, the poster should buy all of us authenticators a round of Margaritas.
