The bag is authentic but the seller has been reported with fakes at least a couple of times in the past.

The following was one example.
Thanks, BB. I didn't do my usual seller search before asking because I was in a rush at work. Sorry about that. Well, someone got a good deal. I really liked that style.

Some people aren't concerned with a "history." But even if you buy from a seller with a history, knowing about mistakes can make you a more diligent buyer and less apt to buy a mistake.

Can you please verify these 2 bags?
1). Ebay listing - item #392842431095. Seller: everydaythings71

2). Ebay listing - item #233624271983. Seller: hueysmom99
Second one only has 3 pics attached - not sure if that is enough for you to verify. I have request additional but not posted yet. Thanks!

The first is a genuine Convertible Clutch made in 1995

The second one may be genuine but a few details of the serial number bother me, I'd really want to see a better photo. Also, without measurements and photos of the bag's details such as inside and underflap pockets, there's no way to tell you what style it is or what it's trying to be, just that if it's genuine, it's from the early 1990s.

Thanks - I figured the second didnt have enough info - I have requested and will send an update. Appreciate you so much!

If the seller doesn't send decent photos, just hit the Back button. Ebay allows 12 free photos so there's no reason not to include them. And how long would it take a seller to measure a bag like that?

And looking at all the waves on the bottom of the border around the creed is making me sea-sick.

Hello, new to the forum.... I found the following coach bag at a thrift store and was wondering if it is authentic, the purse does have Coach etched into some of the hardware, and from what I can tell the creed / stitching etc, looks appropriate, but showing that it is made in China. I appreciate your validation.

Serial Number - E0893-12705, photos attached, it is showing that it is Made in China The bag is 10" tall by 12" wide

It's fine.

Hi! Would you mind taking a look a these bags? Just trying to be cautious on poshmark. Thanks so much

3. Pocket?
The first two are genuine. But I'm concerned about the third. The underline in "No" seems too large and so does the hyphen between the two parts of the serial number. We really need a better creed photo. More opinions are welcome.
I'm not seeing a problem with the number but with the spacing on the creed body. This is a close creed from my files, and it doesn't match. I don't think I have any examples in my files with that spacing.
Hmmmm. See the request below:

Do the creeds appear to have the same spacing and puffiness? (I'll defer to @Hyacinth and @whateve for authenticity opinions on this one.)

This is from the Poshmark listing that Czelesny asked about:

And this is from the Ebay listing that @MedicMom asked about.

Hi all~

https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/95280984

Almost forgot I bid on these two bags at shopgoodwill.com. May I please have authentications for each before I pay for my purchase?

Unfortunately, the numbers are a little blurry in each creed photo.

Thank you.
You did ask already!

Both Hyacinth and I commented on those the other day.

O

Gosh.

Well...there's compelling proof that I may need to take a break from acquiring vintage bags for awhile.

Mea culpa, ladies.

Could anyone please help me to authenticate this bag from Mercari? It is not in a good condition. One side thread is loose. The leather is soft. The tag is missing.
Item: J8P-9814
Measurements: H7*L10.5*D2.5

Thank you!
Please post a link to the Mercari listing as well as the seller ID. (Both are required as per the first post at the top of every page as well as post #1 on the first page of the thread.)

I'm sorry but the bag is fake.
I added the seller ID and link:
Seller ID: kmscho
Link:https://merc.li/zWc5KhJRb
Thank you.
Did the seller kmscho cancel and refund your payment?
