Good morning, Authenticators. My head is hung in shame as I admit to an impulse purchase from Memorial Day weekend.

Coach Lime Green Vintage Bucket Bag
https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m6712396623
Seller: Brandyhill
Item number: not sure I see one on Mercari

Despite not seeing the Creed, I thought the color looked right. (don't yell at me) Also, the tags from these bags are often split. As I've received it, the bag actually looks like it was made like last week--a seemingly brand new Maggie bucket, 9019. So, here's a photo of the creed. Hoping for good news. Thank you in advance. ETA: this serial number is making me nervous.

Due to that seller's prices, business practices, and personal attacks on tPF members I will NOT be authenticating any items sold by VINTAGECOACH4LESS listed on Ebay or any other website he sells on under any and all IDs he uses including but not limited to:
VINTAGECOACH4LESS
VTGCOACH4LESS
VINTAGE EXCELLENCE
and
DAVE EDWARDS

The other authenticators are available to help if they choose.

I feel as Hyacinth and have added
barne-acadi to the list.
madmerekat also

Thank you for responding, I wondered if the seller had a checkered past. I’ll move on. Thanks again.

@Roxy5705

If it's a green Willis you're looking for, the bag @Morgan_Bellini posted is authentic. And it's considerably less expensive than the other seller's item.

Note that the seller gasy-85 seems to try to do research but has a couple of errors in her listings.

Minor correction: The bag in question was made in November 1995 (not December as described).

However a more serious error is in another listing where the seller lists a bag as classic vintage 80s but the bag is a 2002 item.

This sellers items are very authentic. This is a beautiful bag in a gorgeous color! You are protected by ebay as a buyer so you should not have to worry about his items in general, and this one in particular.

Yep. Hopefully lesson permanently learned. Thank you so much for the fast reply.

FWIW--it took all of four minutes for Mercari to approve the return for full refund. Thank you again, authenticators and particularly BB, for all of your help.

Wow, a voice from the past! How have you been, Jessi? I haven't seen you around the forum since you left for the Facebook group.

It's possible that at the current time, your comment is correct. But the seller has a long history of (knowingly or not), mixing fakes and making disparaging comments about and to authenticators here, on ebay and in private facebook groups.

First are some examples from when his ID was azuremerekat:

And a Hall of shame reference from more recently after a change to vintagecoach4less ID:

While it never hurts to have ALL listings verified for ALL sellers, trusted or not, a seller who sells as much Coach as he does and has been doing for many years shouldn't be making as many mistakes as we've seen both here, on ebay boards and on other sites.

As someone who knows and recognizes Coach and knows what to look for, you may feel comfortable promoting him. I just don't have that warm and fuzzy feeling yet.
